Here's where you can post your predictions for who you think will be this year's Emmy nominees, announced in July. The awards will be handed out in September.

So, is this the year that Buffy breaks through? Can Jennifer Garner take them all down in her first year? Will Friends finally see some awards given to them (besides Lisa Kudrow's Best Supporting Actress win a few years ago; keeping in mind that the Friends submitted their names in Lead categories this year). Post who you think the nominees will be!

CSI (CBS)
ER (NBC)
Law and Order (NBC)
Six Feet Under (HBO)
The West Wing (NBC)

Good predictions... I'm sure your mostly right.

But, don't count out Rachel Griffiths (Brenda), Michael C. Hall (David), and Frances Conroy (Ruth) from SIX FEET UNDER in the LEAD categories. They all submitted their names for consideration in the LEAD categories. I especially wouldn't count out Rachel Griffiths in the Lead Actress - Drama category. As you can tell I'm a huge SFU fan. Lauren Ambrose (Claire) should get a Supporting Actress nomination since she's the only main character (female) submitting her name in the supporting actress category. I hope the show sweeps!!

Alison Janney from the WEST WING switched from SUPPORTING ACTRESS to LEAD ACTRESS this year. She'll probably get nominated there.

Yes, it very well could be. I think there's a wild card slot open for either her or Sarah Michelle Gellar, I gave it to Gellar just because she has never been nominated and it seems like it could be a breakthrough year. Janney is crazy, she just won two Emmys in a row in the Supporting Actress category and she switches over to Lead Actress, where she may not even be nominated. Craziness.

I have a feeling that you will be right on the money, Nate. In my expieriance, T.V. is much more predictable (when it comes to awards) than movies.

Sean Hayes and Megan Mullaly (Jack and Karen) will also get nominated. Sarah Michelle Gellar definitely deserves a nomination as does Jennifer Garner, Alias rocks. Alyson Hannigan should also get some recognition for her role as Willow.

Great predictions, NATE...since I find THE WEST WING very overrated, I hope C.S.I. and "24" duke it out this year, since THE SOPRANOS isn't eligible. My own favorites are as follows:

DRAMA SERIES
A tie between C.S.I. (CBS) and "24" (Fox).

COMEDY SERIES
MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE (Fox)

ANIMATED SERIES
THE SIMPSONS (Fox)

LEAD ACTOR-DRAMA
Kiefer Sutherland (24)

LEAD ACTRESS-DRAMA
Marg Helgenberger (C.S.I.)

SUPPORTING ACTOR-DRAMA
Michael Rosenbaum (SMALLVILLE)

SUPPORTING ACTRESS-DRAMA
Alex Kingston (ER)

LEAD ACTOR-COMEDY
Bryan Cranston (MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE)

LEAD ACTRESS-COMEDY
Debra Messing (WILL & GRACE)

SUPPORTING ACTOR-COMEDY
A tie between:
Peter Boyle (EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND) and
Brad Garrett (EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND)

SUPPORTING ACTRESS-COMEDY
Kim Cattrall (SEX & THE CITY)

sarah michelle gellar for best actress?!!?!?! i think not.

although she deserves it and has for the past 5 years, the emmy's don't like noticing buffy.

As I said, I think her nomination is a toss-up, it'll either be her or The West Wing's Allison Janney.

I'm pretty sure they'd give it to Allison Janney over Sarah Michelle Gellar. I'd even go as far as to say that Allison deserves it a tad more, anyway, although I wish SMG would finally get some recognition from the Emmys for the 6+ years she's been doing Buffy...

It is likely that they'll give it to Allison Janney, I hope they won't because she doesn't really have a lead role. She was great in the supporting category and she should have stayed there. Now she'll likely never win another Emmy. But I have to keep some of my integrity and I will not alter my original predictions.

i didn't mean it like she won't get the nod because she is not a good actress, i just mean that the emmy's suck and won't ever nominate buffy for a main award.

I think that the Emmys need to start speading the wealth, so to speak:

Give the Best Drama Series Emmy to another deserving series besides media darling THE WEST WING. Three other contenders are C.S.I., 24 and SIX FEET UNDER.

Patricia Heaton is a great "straight man" to the crazies surrounding her in EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, but after her back-to-back wins, the Best Comedy Actress Emmy should go to Debra Messing of WILL & GRACE. Messing is the best physical comedienne since Lucille Ball, and it isn't fair that her three co-stars (Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally) have statues when she doesn't. I understand that her category is the most competitive (save the Best Actor in a Drama category), but Deb deserves the mini Golden Boy.

Allison Janney could compete in the Lead Actress category, but I suspect that the powers-that-be at THE WEST WING will keep her in the Supporting Actress slot, where she is more likely to "three-peat". I assume that the producers think that Rob Lowe and Martin Sheen are the leads, and everyone else is supporting, despite their meaty screen time.

Sarah Michelle Gellar has been deserving of an Emmy nod since BUFFY premiered, but the snobby Academy rarely recognizes UPN & WB shows, much less a horror-themed series. SMG should just stay home and polish her Daytime Emmy that night instead.

Martin Sheen is the likely Best Drama Actor winner this year, since THE SOPRANOS' James Gandolfini is ineligible. But Kiefer Sutherland deserves this statue, since he made a helluva comeback with the awesome 24. His Jack Bauer character displayed the most range of any other leading man this year. The gamut of Kiefer's emotions, plus the fact that the role was physically demanding...should lead him to at least a nomination, and hopefully a win. At least he has the Golden Globe.

I didn't imply that I thought you said SMG was a bad actress. I think that there is one slot open, that will either go to Janney or Gellar. More and more I'm thinking that Janney will get it, I guess I'm just hoping that Gellar will.
