I have always loved this show!! but mainly the main one when all 6 are in high-school-Zach, Slater, Screech, Kelly, Jesse and Lisa...not the early ones with Miss Bliss...the college ones were ok...but not really...and the new class were absolutely horrible!!!!!!

Oh and I dont really like the one with Tori...its like the 6 of them graduate high-school and then they have shows with the 3 guys and then Lisa and Tori-the biker chic...Its like what the fuck?!?! They already graduated and now they are back without Kelly and Jesse!!!I guess they went on to become ultra-sluts in their other careers-Showgirls, Beverly Hills 20210 etc.

Anyway what are some of your favorite episodes?! One of mine is when they go to murder-mystery house for the weekend...although I never understood the logic in how Zach solves the mystery.

I also liked when they worked at the beach-club for the summer...with Leah Remini or whatever her name is.

Around Christmas time I always try and watch the christmas episode...I've always liked that one.

There are countless high-school episodes that I like but its hard to remember.

Unfortunately the show is on here at 4:00AM on TBS so I don't get to watch it much anymore.

This show is one of my guilty passions, but where are the stoners?!? Its high school isn't it? Imagine and episode where the gang actually did burn? It would be a riot! Hotboxxing Beldmans office http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif!!

Damn stupid trying to give us morals instead of drug addled humour!!

I love the episode where the gang had misshaps at the mall with their U2 tickets.

Yeah, The New Class was horrible. In fact, every teen show that Saved by the Bell spawned was horrible. That magic will never be captured again. I don't know. There's just something about that show that takes me back...

I always feel embarassed when I admit I liked Saved by the Bell. a guilty pleasure to be sure. but Linus is right, it's alittle hard to depict high school w/o some stoner dude hanging around.

This show is actually okay to watch sometimes, but only when it doesn't get too schmaltzy. I never liked the College Years or the New Class, the original episodes were the best. And I can't stand Zack, but I like the rest of them, especially Screech.

i live 4 this show. i've probably seen every episode at least 20 times. i wouldn't call it a guilty pleasure, but people always think i'm weird when i tell them i like it. i know that the show can be really corny and a little too-sweet-to-be-true, but it's always upheld a special place in my heart. i think i know it a little 2 well tho, but hey, love makes the world go round, right?

o! my favorite episodes are:

friends forever (when they're all a group and get famous)
prom (it had a western theme for those of you who don't remember)
when Jessie takes drugs ("i'm so excited...")
subliminal messages (when Zack uses subliminal messages so Kelly will go out with him)
the dance-off episode ("let's do...the sprain!")
kkty baside episode (where the gang descovers that Bayside has a radio station and Slater is an awful DJ)
the time capsul episode (it's in the year 2003, and the gang made a video for the c/o 2003)
valentine's day episode (a recollection of all of the romantic happenings at Bayside)
graduation episode (remember "Swan Pond"?)

there are many more, actually, all of them are my favorites, but i'm tired of typing.

I loved this show! It's not weird to admit it either.

A couple of weeks ago, I was flipping through the channels, when all of a sudden I saw there was this Saved by the Bell marathon. I watched about 7 episodes, and 5 of the 7 were about dances. In every single one, Mr. Belding (sp?) would say, "This is the last dance of the year, make it count." How many years were they in high school? It makes me laugh now that I think about it.

Despite the little problems, I still love this show. It reminds me of the good old days...

I actually caught E! True Hollywood Story of Saved By the Bell. It seems like everybody couldn't wait to leave the show. And everybody was talking about their careers. Remember the character Jesse bared it all in Showgirls! Funny!

But I loved this show. I think by now everyone knows the theme song by now. Just the other night I watched the Christmas episode. Ah, the memorys!

Those True Hollywood stories are depressing, everybody hates each other, they can't wait for the show to end, blah blah blah. The only one I watched where everyone enjoyed the show was Married... With Children.

Saved By The Bell was a great show, it was always funny, and wasn't afraid to take on a serious issue once in a while. I still watch reruns when I catch them on tv. Does anyone have any idea if they'll ever release this show on DVD?

"i'm so excited" that show cracks me up when i see it, 'cause the music vide they do is hilarious, but i guess it's a serious subject.

i thought the episode (may have been a 2 parter) where the oil is struck on the football field and it got into the pond which they were taking care of in biology class was a good one!

the one where kelli kisses the boss at work, and then breaks up with zach at the dance (after they've been crowned king and queen) is a classic.

This post is going to piss a lot of people off, but...

I'm sorry, but this show is awful. I understand that people like it, but I just can't stand it.

I honestly don't think I've ever seen a cornier show. Pretty much every single line has me rolling my eyes. The storylines are ridiculous, make no sense, and often veer off in a dozen different directions, all of the characters irritate me (especially Screech!), and I don't think I've ever seen a genuinely funny moment. Also, someone said they weren't afraid to tackle real issues, but they were. From what I've seen, they never had the balls to tackle real issues. For example, there's an episode where Elizabeth Berkley's character gets addicted to caffeine pills (this comes out of nowhere, by the way) and then at the end she realizes she needs help, and should get counselling. What, they couldn't have her get addicted to coke? I know there are people who are addicted to things other than hard drugs, but it just seems like they took the easiest (and lamest) route possible.

Maybe I'm being too hard on the show, as it is for younger viewers, but I've seen similar shows that were much, much better. Breaker High for instance. It was often somewhat cheesy, and wasn't high art, to be sure, but it did have some genuinely witty moments (including a hilarious dig at Saved By the Bell! Does anyone remember that?).

Anyway, I know I'm being harsh, and I certainly respect that people do like this show. I never watched it when it was originally on, but I know some people did, and I'm sure that many of you have very fond memories of it. But I really just don't enjoy it.

Wasn't there an episode where (and my memory is a little fuzzy) where Kelly is offered pot by some hot-shot guy?

I'd catch a rerun of Saved by the Bell if I ever caught it on TV. I probably would dismiss the show if I were to watch it for the first time now as corny and predictable, but I used to love it when I was younger. Watching it would bring back memories, and I still have a deep love for the shows I loved as a kid.

how about a sweet 6 years later bump:

so with all the reunion talk and the people magazine coming out... i pulled out my dvds and started watching them over again (i am actually on the last disk of the first box set... the one where Zack enters screetch in the Ms. Bayside contest!)

but in sitting down to watch these... i noticed that these eps are all sorts of out of order on the dvd... like the episode where Zack talks about it being kellys first day, and he has the poster of her lowered from his ceiling, which is also the episode where Slater is introduced... that episode is on like the second disc in this box set... when that is obviously the pilot... but they do add a line to the very beginning of the episode "This is how i met Slater".... i know i read the story before about why the eps were all out of order, but if someone could refresh my memory, it would be greatly appreciated!

Also... i was wondering where does Hawaiian Style (the movie that took place in Hawaii) come in? Like after what episode would i throw on Hawaiian Style to keep it in order?!

The people magazine cover, i purchased it (what can i say, i grw up on this show and fucking love it) it was really just a fluff piece, no real meat to the story. Not that i want dirt or anything.. but they could have done a more in depth story on it.

I personally am looking forward to Dustin Diamonds (Screetch) Tell All Book that he is supposedly writing... even if it is all made up lies! It will be an interesting read!

well, thats all... discuss! Who doesn't love when a thread from 6 years ago gets bumped!

I hear ya. The writing was atrocious -- if I didn't know any better, I'd swear all the scribes were 12 years old (though, to the actors' credit, I do feel they did the best they could with the material they were given). I'll admit I watched it mostly for the babes that were/are Tiffani (Hold the '-Amber') Thiessen and Elizabeth (Don't Mention "Showgirls" :p) Berkeley.

This was a show geared toward young kids around the age of 5-12, you could go higher, but that is were it was geared towards. You can't expect the greatest writing.

It was a fun show, I do find myself watching re-runs when they air. I grew up on the show, and it brings back the old days.

You have to remember that this show came out during a time when kid shows were for kids. Pixar didn't come until a later time, and showed that you can create for both demographics.

If you didn't grow up with the show, assuming you didn't, you probably won't like it. I doubt today's kids will enjoy this show like we did because they have more edgier TV. I remember when Zach and Kelly kissed, and being like WOW. Now it is not unusual to see this in shows kids watch.

Also, consider the other shows on at the time: Family Matters, Step By Step, Boy Meets World, Full House, California Dreams, and the list could go on and on. Most of the shows were the big TGIF shows, which I loved as a kid. They were similar to SBTB in the way they were written.

Different times I guess.

don't get me wrong... the writing for this show is ridiculous!

The laugh tracks are ridiculous... the "Ohhhh's" and "Ahhhhh's" are ridiculous!

But my god i love this show!

i am just annoyed at the sloppy dvd release... even when i get to the Summer episodes, where they work at the beach resort with Leon Corosi and Stacy...

the DVD's give you 1 episode of summer, then 1 episode back at bayside, then back to the summer job, then back to bayside!

It's annoying! Someone should have done some sort of research rather than just dumping all the eps on dvd and being done with it.

Funny thing is I don't remember watching the show as a kid, but every time I watch some of the episodes on TBS in the mornings, I know every one. Weird.

I liked some of the beach episodes (Leah Remini . . . HOT!) and the Cut Day episode where Zach has to avoid getting caught cutting class by Belding.

As the person who originated this thread some years ago I thought it would be fun to chime in...hehe the cut day one is great though I could never figure out what that pool-style game Slater and Kelly are playing at the Max(or what the point of it was)...I do remember Zack offering Belding choco-covered grasshoppers and Screech going to town on Belding's bonzai tree...lol.

Another favorite of mine is the two-parter where they all go to Jesse's father's club at the desert 'cause he is getting re-married to some young aerobics instructor that Jesse hates...damn Jesse was a bitch in those episodes...oh yeah and Slater hooks up with some princess from Lichtenburg!? lol
