Classic TV: The Muppet Show

I consider this one of the classic TV shows. It had great characters, funny skits and many memorable musical numbers; all of which is more amazing that it was all performed by puppets (with some aid of human guest stars).

While no one has decided to release a "Best Of" DVD featuring all of the shows in one package, it does looks as if they may be releasing indivdual shows (I've seen the Elton John and Mark Hamill episodes on Amazon.com as upcoming releases).

Kinda OT but...

Has anyone seen the video for Weezer's song "Keep Fishing"? It's the style of The Muppet Show, complete with the old sets and all the Muppets (Animal even gets to sit in on drums while Kermit and Gonzo help out with the vocals).

The muppets are great. I used to enjoy watching this and muppets tonight, and of course all of the movies, too bad i can't remember anything about this show.

The Muppets kick ass. I loved the muppet show, muppets tonight, and practically every movie except Muppets From Space(haven't seen it). My fav. muppets are Animal and Sam Eagle(i think that is his name). However that Muppet Babies cartoon sucked.

I adore The Muppets. I used to watch re-runs with my dad all the time. Up there with Rugrats and Batman as my all time favorite shows as a kid. I just recently got the first season on DVD and was hit with a surprising strong blast of nostalgia that left me feeling happy and having re-discovered the show.


I NEED to see the new movie. Why the hell haven't I yet?
