Today the great actor, Chris Sarandon turns 60 years old. Sarandon was born July 24th, 1942 in Beckley, West Virginia of Greek descent. He attended the Catholic University of American Drama Dept., along with Dark Shadows alumni David Selby. He met Susan Tomalin, who became known as Susan Sarandon after they married. His first big role came as “Leon” in Dog Day Afternoon, for which he received an Academy Award nomination. The role that had gotten Chris attention from horror movie fans was that of the vampire Jerry Dandrige in the 1985 film Fright Night (my favorite movie). Chris returned as the villainous Prince Humperdinck in Rob Reiner’s The Princess Bride in 1987. Fright Night director Tom Holland worked with Sarandon together for the second time in Child’s Play (1988). In 1992, he starred in The Resurrected, which was a film version of H.P. Lovecraft’s The Strange Case of Charles Dexter Ward. His vocal talent could be heard in Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas as the speaking voice of Jack Skellington. Currently, Chris has been seen as Justice Voorhees on The Court, which airs on ABC. He has also had a recurring role on Judging Amy and has appeared in Alanis Morrisettes’ Hands Clean video. Happy Birthday, Chris!

How am I gonna be Chris Sarandon. I'm just a fan. I don't think the real Sarandon would go online to talk about his birthday. And what the hell are you talking about Melanie?

I did hear a lot of stuff about how Mr Sarandon can be...um...ALLEGEDLY difficult to work with at times. It seems he has an ego that is ALLEGEDLY simply out of proportion when set against his actual ALLEGED talent...

Where's the source that you heard this "stuff" from? For all you know, I could go around everywhere making up bullshit about any actor and saying that it came from a reliable source.

Klownzilla...I don't care for your tone. Don't accuse me of "making up bullshit". I read a shitload of movie and tv related magazines and don't expect to have to defend every off the cuff post I make on this forum. I don't remember which particular source I gleaned this information from but if it upsets your fan based mentality i'll edit my post so as not to cause offence.

I was talking about Chris Sarandon. I mean, it does make sense that he's an asshole seeign that he was married to Susan Sarandon. That's all I have to say (or type).
