That's new I just saw this while I was on Yahoo! It says her name under Music & Videos so I clicked on it and I got this (http://launch.yahoo.com/artist/default.asp?artistID=1011930). So I thought "what the hell?" she SINGS! and when I played the video on my 56k which wasnt good and skipped a lot, I also saw this in the box. Her new album "BareNaked" including a hot single hits stores in October 2002.

Believe it or not, I was very very surprised about her singing career, I never expected she'll ever sing. but from what I heard...."She's good, real good" http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif

Yeah, she has been singing for awhile. I listened to samples of her other CD's at amazon.com and they didn't sound that great, she was good but it's not my kind of music. But I did dig her single "How Do I Deal" from I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. I heard a few seconds of her new song "BareNaked" and it sounds alright. I really like her though and I might buy her CD in October if it's any good.

Whether she's a decent singer or not doesn't actually matter to me. It's just another in the long line of crossover "artists" who cash in on having a name. I'll avoid her album just as I avoid movies with rappers in lead roles.

She put out her first music cd before she well known as an actress. She isn't cashing in on her name with her cd, she has stated in interviews that she loves singing and has done it since she was a child. And like I said, this will be her third cd.

Now I'm not saying she is a good singer, her stuff hasn't impressed me though admittedly I've only heard a couple songs, only I don't think she is cashing in on her name at all. She loves singing as much as acting, she has said so in many interviews from years back.

ever watch the DISNEY CHANNEL? well.. she was on this show that comes right before MMC (Micky Mouse Club, the one with the guys from NSYNC and that chick who played FELICITY) called KIDS INCORPORATED. well.. it was a singing/acting tv show. anyway.. she was a talented singer before becoming an actress. i think she "prefers" singing over acting, because i haven't yet seen in her any movies. the last movie i saw was about AUDREY HEPBURN, with her starring AUDREY HEPBURN(which i think Natalie Portman should've played). and besides that, the only acclaimed movies she starred in were only the I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER movies.

As an actress she's ok, I thought she was pretty good on Party of Five. She's not bad in movies also.

As a singer, she's awful. She tries but she cannot sing, her voice just seems to die/or becomes raspy when she tries to reach a high note.

She has been singing/putting out albums for a long time, it just never gets a lot of notice. It's schmaltzy teen crap that only young girls and Japanese people listen to. I don't think she's a great actress but I did like Heartbreakers. I do think she is incredibly beautiful and has amazing breasts but sometimes when I see a picture of her she looks terrible. I also can't stand how she uses her breasts to sell herself.

That reminds me, when her latest album was being promoted they were using the tag-line: "The original J.Lo". How stupid is that?! I thought that was really sad. I hope that was just her marketing people and she told them to cut it out.
