Since there is a BEST FILM thread, i thought it would be fun to have a worst film thread... What do you think is the worst movie so far this year that is a contender for next year's RAZZIE awards?

oh boy, isn't the first 2-3 months of the year generally the dumping ground from studios ? well, I can name several then:

HANNIBAL
3000 MILES TO GRACELAND
15 MINUTES
SEE SPOT RUN
SAVING SILVERMAN
VALENTINE
HEARTBREAKERS
SOMEONE LIKE YOU

and I'm sure there are more.

Along Came A Spider of what I've seen, but I purposely avoided crap like Tomcats, Valentine, See Spot Run, and the bunch.

"Enemy at the Gates" is the worst I've seen this year (so far). Last half was soooo disappointing.

I actually enjoyed "3000 Miles to Graceland"

Well out of what I have seen this year it would be a tie between Hannibal and Enemy at the gates.

I think ENEMY AT THE GATES and THE MEXICAN are both so-so... I haven't wasted a dime on a really bad movie yet, but I wasted 2 hours watching the BLOCKBUSTER awards which suck big time!!!!!!

cherry falls is real crap. it's so crappy it's starting to be funny. I still don't know if this was a serious movie or not. doubt it

I was looking forward to Tomcats and Saving Silverman. Then I found out they were crap. No I am hearing the same for Freddy Got Fingered. Usually you get a surprise comedy in the winter and this year we didn't get it. The closest was Hearbreakers.

ALONG CAME A SPIDER-was horrible but a movie that is playing in the midwest
Escanaba in da moonlight-Jeff Daniels is in it and it is pretty crap!

I liked TOMCATS, it was an alright time to waste an hour and a half and I loved the eye candy...

Tomb Raider

Hey Pinchadiscos you've been at BLOCKBUSTER awards? or watched it on TV?

I haven't seen a truly horrible movie yet this year, of course I've only seen three 2001 movies... They are:

TOMCATS 9/10
JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS 9/10 (I saw this twice)

HEARTBREAKERS 10/10 (Probably the best comedy I'll see all year)

Anyway, I'm sure I'll eventually see a horrible movie, but I'm not exactly looking forward to it...

Ok 3 movies!

1)Bridget Jones's Diariy - this was abismal!!!

************************************************** ************SPOILER*********************
************************************************** ****************************************

Valentine - what happened to the good ol' traditional slasher movies? this was a terrible idea. And to actually have David Boreanez wear the trench coat he's known for wearing in Buffy, while he's got the mask on to hide his identity while he's killing people, it just put's out any other thought that someone else could be the killer. I sat there and prayed that the killer wouldn't be or that at least there were 2 killers...but no

************************************************** ********Spoiler Ends*******************
************************************************** ****************************************

3) Hannibal - i will leave it at that.

Damn it, I'm so blind, how could I not see the SPOILERS thing above VALENTINE, instead I read it now I know who the killer is. Now I don't care about seeing it as much. I still want to see it though. I heard in the end that you won't know who the killer is. Is it really him? (without giving it away completely)... DAMN IT... Why didn't I see that damn spoilers thing...

After adding Hannibal a while ago, I must add Driven now ...

Hannibal wasnt too bad.
Unlike most people I knew what was happening, I had read the book and wasnt overhyped about it.

15 minutes was excellent a superb film

now
Bridget Jones Diary
my god that was an absolutely mindbogglingly appauling movie!

I havent really seen a bad movie this year!
This is what ive seen:
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (9/10)
Enemy At The Gates (7/10)
Bridget Jones' Diary (7/10) - seen twice
Cast Away (7/10)

The worst of those is probably ENEMY AT THE GATES but that is still a credible film.
From wot ive heard - probably TOMCATS.

Joe Dirt is the worst movie of the year. The last 20 minutes of Hannibal brought it into contention for worst yet and Enemy at the gates was pretty bad but Dirt takes the top prize.

Pinchadiscos

Yah I agree, Joe Dirt is currently the worst film I've seen this year in theatres... I didn't know it was THAT bad, i mean the filmmakers are not even TRYING to be funny; I saw Snow Day on video with my brother, and what a crappy movie!

sugar and spice was pure filth.
hannibal was a waste of time.
driven has big names to [attempt to] cover the lack of a plot.
i could go on for years, really...

There have been more horrible films so far than more great films this year.
Worst in no order:
3000 Miles To Graceland
Driven
One Night At McCools
Joe Dirt
Exit Wounds

The worst so-far have been See Spot Run and Pokeman 3. Your probably asking why I bothered? But because I love movies so much, I'll watch just about anything once, I'm just picky about what I'll watch again, and again, and you get the picture!

VALENTINE was the bigges stinker... So goddman perdticable (1/10) and Croc Dundee 3 was horrible (4/10) to that were a waste of time.

Pearl Harbor... well I haven't seen it but I will tommorow. I know it's unfair to judge a movie without even having seen it, but somehow I just KNOW it's gonna blow...

MAGNOLIA SUCKED!!!!! ok, ok it came out last year, but I just saw it for the movie discussion last weekend, and it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. What the fuck was that thing about? Boring, uninteresting, and no story - all make for a lousy movie!

Can anyone say Town and Country (gee where'd that stinker go so quick?), Hannibal, See Spot Run, 3000 Miles to Crapland err Graceland, and Along Came A Spider. Driven wasn't that bad, despite what people say (word of mouth does no judgement). Enemy At The Gates was true to its historic background. Cast Away came out in 2000. Joe Dirt was mildly funny...only when Spade got the shite kicked out of him!

Unforunately I also have to cast my vote for Pearl Harbor. I wanted to like it but I hated it. I'm *so* glad that I got to go see it after all when I originally thought I wouldn't be able to afford it....sob.

If only they'd focused on the attack, the events leading up to it or perhaps told the story from the perspective of a real soldier. Instead we get a processed cheese spread love story. What a disappointment.

You know, whenever a movie shows their trailer and you watch it and think, "Oh it looks stupid, but maybe its good." Don't watch it. I noticed people are watching "Freddy got fingered" now how stupid is that preview. Also people are watching the stupidest previews and they are saying the was horrible, dont watch then. I can't say out of the 30 movies I saw this year any of them were bad, except Hannibal, but I had free tickets to that, so it doesnt count. I watch each preview and read some critic responses, and when I see the flick, I always like it. This weekend for June 8th, which wont be the weekend soon, "Evolution" and "Swordfish" are released. Swordfish looks good, I like Travolta as a villian, i will see it. Evolution, looks alright, and I know it will be good. And so forth. So dont watch a stupid movie when you thing its so-so or stupid looking. Oh and Pearl Harbor was one of the best, so don't say it was bad, cause it was good. Ignore the romance part, although thats why the movie was made in the first place.
