I'm sure many of you have heard the recent rumour that while Ben Affleck and Vince Vaughn were "horsing around" at a Hollywood party (which makes them likely candidates for the new gay-bashing topic in this forum)...Vince accidentally pulled off Ben's hairpiece!

Ben was so embarrassed, he begged his "friends" not to tell anyone (even his new pretend girlfriend Jennifer Lopez reportedly didn't know). Well, the story was leaked to several newspapers, radio stations and websites...including the always-reliable Internet Movie Database!

I'll just say one thing...if Affleck is wearing a toupee, it is one of the best I've ever seen!

I rolled over laughing after reading this story on the IMDb, then I felt sorry for him. He's only human, chances are it runs in his family. Hair technology (if you can call it that) has gone a long way, so it could very well be a toupee. Then again, a toupee seems to cheap for him. And the IMDb isn't always trustworthy.

I honestly think this is a bullshit rumor. Ben Affleck is 30, and he has had the same poofy kind of hair since he started being in movies over a decade ago. Besides, if he really was going bald, he certainly would have money to get hair transplants and not just use a hairpiece that could fly off that easily. I simply don't buy it.

IMDB has been wrong too many times for me to confidently believe them.

I agree with Flowrchild, this is probably a load of crap. I think the story also reported that he had a $50 000 hairpiece. What the hell kind of a wig costs that much?

No wig costs that much.

maybe the fear of being wed is causing him to shed, and it wasn't a wig that fell off.

That's my point, that made the article even less believable.

I read that wigs in Hollywood can easily go into the 10's of thousands of dollars range. The Guiness Book of World records says that the most expensive wig/toupee was a James Bond wig, which ran up to $52,000
