Liza & David in Trouble?
Liza Minnelli's husband David Gest has promised to stop working his new bride so hard, in a bid to save their marriage. Promoter Gest has already helped save the diva's career, but friends fear he's working her too hard, and following a recent bust-up the couple have decided to draw up new rules about their relationship - to give their marriage a chance. A pal says, "All David has to do to keep Liza happy is cut her a break and stop running her like a racehorse. He seems to forget that she's getting older and her body and her voice need rest. Now she's got a reality show, a tour and lots of other things he insists she do. But what she needs is a break. They do have problems. They argue, sometimes bitterly, mostly about schedules and performances." The stress was evident in pictures taken by a National Enquirer snapper last week, when he spotted a haggered looking Liza wandering around a Manhattan, New York, drugstore in an apparent daze. A publicist for the couple denies the reports that the couple's marriage is in trouble. In a statement released by the couple, Liza states, "We have never been more in love than we are today."
