I find this extremely strange. Tom Hanks, one of the greatest, if most unattractive, actors out there, wants to play ultra-suave James Bond! Let's hope it's just a joke about his boyhood fantasies, because as good an actor as he is, he could never be Bond! Do you guys think he's crazy, or that he's just goofing around? Hanks Hankers After Bond
Hollywood A-Lister Tom Hanks hankers there's only one role he'd still love to play - James Bond. Currently staring in Road To Perdition, Hanks would do anything to become the British super agent. He says, "I wanted to be James Bond when I was growing up and I have always wanted to be James Bond." Hanks would also go so far as taking his clothes off if that is what a role requires.

I hate Bond but have already stated that ther franchise needs total revamping for the many fans. If it were up to me, I would have either a black James Bond or somebody like Christian Bale taking over the role of James: The Early Years (talking about his time with New Scotland Yard and how he made his way through the ranks). As for Hanks? Too old, too famous, too unconcincing.

Sorry if this is OT, but a black James Bond? Sorry, but if this ever happens, dear god.... i'd nefer watch another Bond film again. Bond has been around long enough, he's developed a personality (sure, his nationality doesn't seem to matter) but come on! If political correctness demands a black James Bond, then fuck it all. British secret agents aren't black. To be fair, I don't KBBL any, but I'd bet my ass they ain't black.

There's also been shit recently about "Jane Bond"... ha ha fucking ha. Jesus. Fuck all that bullshit. James Bond is British, he's white, male and super-suave. Fuck Spike Lee and whoever else. They can ruin everything else. but if they ruin Bond flicks for us all, I swear to god, I'll kill any bitch who tries to change Bond in any way, shape, or form.

What about Colin Salmon from Tomorrow Never Dies and The World Is Not Enough? He's not James Bond, but he's black, British, and most importantly, his character isn't dead yet. I think he's ultra cool, so maybe he could have a bigger role in the newer Bond movies. Maybe not a major character or anything, but he did get out of the office and actually do something in TWINE. How about some gunplay or something in the next Bond (hopefully DAD) Colin?
