I disagree, Bitches Brew is my favorite, with Ascension up in the top 20 (jazz) or so, but opinions are opinions. Have you listened to any Ornette Coleman, particularly his album Free Jazz? If you haven't heard it, check it out, you'd like it, since you like Ascension so much. Also, for free jazz/free improv/avant-garde, if you haven't heard anything by Eric Dolphy, Anthony Braxton, Cecil Taylor, Albert Ayler, Joe McPhee, Peter Brotzmann, Art Ensemble of Chicago, etc. etc., it's all very highly reccomended.

That'd be three different studios, Dial, Savoy, and Verve, as well as a few others. ;) I'm guessing you're just talking about the Savoy and Dial, since they come in the same box. And then, there's the large volume of live material, much of which is pure brilliance.
