I love the fact that they produced somewhat intelligent metal at such a young age, but that's becoming less and less of a medal, and more of a curse (Trivium, anyone?)

My problem with it is that nothing stands out positively...the music itself is mediocre, but then I dig into the lyrics and they are a mess--crushed under Oberst's attempts to seem literate, the metaphors and wording just don't gel and have the sloppiness of an average teen's poetry. I've read some people compare Oberst to Dylan--I almost gave up on music journalism at that point.
