Any musicians amongst us?

So, there are threads asking the schmoes for their favorite bands/artists, this one is here asking if any schmores play themselves, in a band or otherwise...

Myself, I play the electric guitar, but there's no band that I'd play in...yet. I just started with it about a year back so I don't know how much good i could do to a band anyways :)

Anyone else play anything or sing or whatever? If ya do, this is the place to share it with the schmoes.

I'm not really a musician (I don't play any particular instrument, I don't sing and so on), but I collaborate with one of the rock bands in my school. Meaning that from time to time I write lyrics (when they need them in English...but I don't know shit about how to compose a song, so I just write sentences, y'know ;) ), and I try to find places where they can play, like parties and so on. Oh, and I "hired" them for my first feature-length home movie, too, but that doesn't count.

I play the piano, alto and tenor saxophone, clarinet and percussion (drums and assorted) in several bands.

Like romeroandjuliet before me, I am a self recording musician.

I have played bass for seven years, guitar for six years, clarinet for six years, drums for two years and I have sang "good" for about a two and a half years or so.

I love to play music and write tunes. I have been I n several bands in my life, one recorded a cd but we broke up soon after(figures, eh?) but we rocked! We were called Twenty to Seven.

Now I am learning how to use an audio recording program on my computer and it is working out good for me.... so far.

Currently I play guitar and 1/2 vocals in a band called Chaz fried and we rock out fun tunes and movie/animation scores and stuff.

So yeah, I like to play music.

Currently I play alto and tenor saxophone in my school's band and Jazz Band, and I took piano lessons for about 6 years. What I love to do is to pick out a pop song on any of these instruments and start playing it; having perfect pitch definitely helps here! :) What I'd like to learn next is either drums or electric guitar.

I've played guitar for about 2 years and 3 months now...

I am in a band called "unSpoken" and I am the guitarist/vocalist/lyricist of the band... our originals are punk rock but we cover a lot of classic rock (The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Guess Who, etc.)

I played the piano and the guitar when I was younger but I quit cuz my teachers sucked ass. I also used to play drums but I got tired of that, so now I'm taking singing lessons. And I used to play trumpet and percussion in my school band but I quit that cuz my teacher was a crazy psychotic bitch that threw chairs around the classroom if nobody practiced. She made me fear for my life.

Yep, I have been into music my whole life. I play piano, guitar, sing, and write music. It is one of my biggest passions in life. I just get lazy for a while and stop doing it altogether, but eventually I get back into it.
