I just got a high speed connection a few weeks ago, so I've pretty much just been downloading like a crack fiend frantically searching for his next fix. I believe the last album I actually bought was Jimmy Eat World's Clarity. This is probably one of the best albums in my collection; I listen to it at least once a day. Every single song is excellent. There ain't a single dud on the entire album. I highly reccommend it. (Be warned, though, none of the songs sound like their radio hit, The Middle.)

If we're talking about the last NEW albums I bought, then...

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots - The Flaming Lips
Redemption's Son - Joseph Arthur
White Blood Cells - The White Stripes

And, based on critical raves, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by Wilco. I've played it four or five times now, and its greatness eludes me. Most of the songs are gutless and melodically bland, and it's my most recent disappointing purchase.

As for catalog albums, I've recently picked up discs by the New York Dolls, the Stone Roses, and Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Recently I've picked up....

Let Go - Avril Levigne (very good, and a strong debut)
Read My Lips - Sophie Ellis Bextor (great pop album, with 80s overtures)
Ebbhead - Nitzer Ebb (an oldie but a goodie)
Melody A.M. - Royksopp (a great mellow album)
Sinner - Drowning Pool (best rock album so far this year, marred by the death of singer Dave Williams a couple of months ago - these guys could've been huge)
Lost In Space - Aimee Mann (another great album by a vastly underrated artist)
