This is the funniest book I've ever read.

It consists of letters from Screwtape, a senior devil, to his nephew Wormwood, a tempter attemting to damn a human. The instructions are not only hysterically funny but also, read in the right way, the book is an idiots guide to christianity.

This is not to say it is inacsessible for non christians, I am an atheist and I love it.

I'd love to hear the thoughts of others who have read this book and to those who have not I say this: stop reading this post and buy The Screwtape Letters, you'll thank me

I've been hearing so many good things about this book, I think I'm gonna try and find it this Saturday when I go at the local book store. It sounds fantastic, and if the Schmoes like it, I'm bound to love it too! ;)

One of the few C.S. Lewis books I haven't read. I will someday.

to think that I was under the impression that these were actual letters that Lewis came across..is...well..a little thick of me. the whole way through I was thinking.. "this cant be real!!" and I guess they aren't...lol, it DOES kind of ruin it for me...either way, it was a great read.

Lewis has always attested that they are real, and that one can, if one has the knack, gain access to them.

its up to anyone whether they believe him or not.
