I'm a big comic book fan, and there's a lot I really love. But just for fun, here are the ones I consider my three favorites:

1°) THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN (Superman), Dan Jurgens
2°) THE DEATH OF GWEN STACY (Spider-man), Gerry Conway
3°) THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS (Batman), Frank Miller

I gotta agree with ya Logan. The Death Of Superman was incredible. With the whole Justice League bitch stomping to Supergirl getting creamed. This thing was friggin epic! I may or may not have shed a wee tear at the end......just a wee one. Ive yet to read any of Frank Millers Batman comics but I'm working on it. I hear they are awesome. I remember this one X-men comic where Sabretooth sneaks into the mansion and attacks Jubilee but then Bishop (of all people) shows up and administers a grade A ass shellacking on him. I found it awesome how Bishop made what Wolverine good never do look easy. Thats one of my faves for sure.

I'm a huge Spider-Man fan. Though I don't buy them any more, I hate the new art, it's so cartoony and goes against the realism I always loved about Spidey. I am still buying older issues though, particularly those featuring The Green Goblin, even before the film my favourite spidey villain.

Best storylines (spoilers people, spoilers)
The Death of Gwen Stacy and Norman Osborn (ASM 121, 122)

The Return of Norman Osborn (Peter Parker 75)

The Death Of Harry Osborn (Spectacular 200)

Origin (Amazing Fantasy 15)

Ya' know...I love comic books. But I haven't read enough to really have a favorite.

I do enjoy all of the GAMBIT serious though...and of course, most SPIDER-MAN comics.

I don't have a favorite comic book issue, but my favorite series is X-Men & all the spinoffs.

My favorite comic book currently running is The Avengers. Always loved them scrappy lil' bastards! As you can tell by the little picture to the left, She-Hulk in my opinion kicks some major ass, and she was just recently with the last issue, penciled back in as part of the team again, so I'm happy.

The titles I currently (or kind of currently collect, I have to stop for a few months... no moola) are:

The Avengers
The Ultimates
Uncanny X-Men
New X-Men
X-Treme X-Men
Green Arrow
JLA
Daredevil
Iron Man
The Mighty Thor
The Amazing Spider-Man
The Punisher
The Thundercats
Captain America

I'm a mainstream comic type guy. I started when I was probably about 5 or 6, and I've loved them ever since!

Oh damn, if you're talking about specific issues... uhm... ooh, hard...

The Avengers Vol 1. #'s 175 - 177 (Korvac was the villain and he killed all the members of the team but brought them back... long story)

The Avengers Vol 3. #'s 19-22 (Ultron killed a small country and the Avengers had to bring him down)

JLA #'s 43-44: The Tower of Babble (I think that's the title. Where Batman's records of the other JLA members are used against them to try to kill them, ending with his expulsion)

Oh man, there's so many more, but I better leave it at this for now!

I'm not talking specific issues, dude, I live in France so I don't even know what issue tells what story. :D

My three favorite comics are Watchmen, Kingdom Come and the Dark Knight Returns! Those three are a bit darker and show the meaner part of superheroes. I also like Daredevil: Visionaries Vol. 5 by Kevin Smith and Batman: Year One.

seeing these posts i really want to read the Death of Superman...

iv wanted to read Dark Knight REturns for a while, heard alot about them.

God loves, Man Kills is an excellent comic, very intense read.

Witchblade and Darkness are two stonking comics, tho i prefer Witchblade.

Spawn has had some excellent issues, in particular 'Father' that occurs after he returns fro Elysium.

Otherwise i lvoe Captain America...very odd considering my mostly anti-american sentiment, but there you go, he's jsut cool.

Favorite comics of all time:

The Infinity Gauntlet - George Perez art is too cool for school! This story is just awesome! This was an event! All of Marvels heroes get their asses kicked! We practically see them all die!

The Darknight Returns- Frank Miller, the art is just to good to believe and the story, with batman being an oldman and him having that little girl as a sidekick, against The Jokers evil plot, well its just awesome. When you read this you can see how much the bat films have ripped off of this book. Check it out people!

Transmetropolitan- this book is waay to cool for words. Spider Jerusalem is one bad journalist! Hes just like mad at the whole world or something. cool writing make this one, a constant favorite.

The Hulk future Imperfect George Perez, writes the Hulk pitted against an evil version of himself from the future called the "Maestro". One of the best Hulk stories ever made.

And last but not least...Midnight Nation. This is one of the best written stories EVER! I urge everyone to check this book out. It is over now, cause it was just a 12 issue story, but man was this story gripping! It actually had something to say! Deep stuff thatll make your brain sinapses acelerate and twitch! Its all due to J. Michael Strasinsky incredible writing and the art is just superb.
This ones a must! Anyone know what im talking about?

1.) "The Kingpin Must Die!", Daredevil, Frank Miller

That is the best comic book ever released, IMO.
