G.W.A.R.!!!!! Who else loves this great band? Theve ben banned and defended by the A.C.L.U., have the funnist song titles(Fuckin' an Animal), and they have the BEST live shows! I've ben to 2 of their concerts and got coverd by fake blood!

GWAR is a great band I never been to any of there concerts sounds wild. Also a small note anybody see that little appearence of them in the movie Empire Records.:)

i LOVE GWAR! i just saw them not to long ago on the VH1 where r they now show, that DEF isnt what i thought they looked like out of thier costumes and make-up!

I'm not a fan of G.W.A.R but i went to their show last time in montreal becaus ei'm freinds with a band that opened for them and I gotta say that their shows are Fucked up.

Although I put this in the 'best metal band' thread I'll also suggest it here... check out the band Zimmers Hole. As a GWAR fan you should be able to appreciate them...

I saw them a couple of months ago (at a small tour stop so they couldn't bring out all their stuff)...

On either side of the stage they had corpses hanging upside down on crosses, a mic stand bade of a severed, bony arm... Fire, strobes, more fire, police lights. The lead singer dressed up in nothing but a thong type thing and an apron. He painted himself red and had the usual devils horns. In the front of his apron he had a giant 'cock' protruding. With that cock he shot rye and 7up at the audience into glasses so that they could enjoy a drink. They also handed out free beer so you could drink during their drinking song. Further they through cheese slices at the audience and if you got the lucky cheese you won free merch. They had fans on either side of the stage to blow their long metal hair back. The singer also spit fire. Etc, etc, etc...

From what I've found the lead singer does special effects for movies, for a living. They are also made up of members from several bands one being Strapping Young Lad.

By their albums you won't be disappointed.

GWAR is still around? WOW! I used to be a fan of theirs when Scumdogs of the Universe came out. Went to ones of their shows when they played with their alter egos - X Cops. Great live band. Lost interest when they released This Toilet Earth, but I did get a great laugh when they appeared on the Jerry Springer show.

They are one of two bands that actually opened for themselves - the other being Infectious Grooves opening for Suicial Tendencies. That was a great show.
