Uzumaki - See it, and love it...

It's been a few months since I first saw it, and I still cannot stop raving about it. INCREDIBLE entertaining, scary, weird, visual, original, unforgettable, and soo much more. There's not much more to say besides do all you can to get your hands on this masterpiece. I think I read somewhere it will be released this fall in art house theatres, but I'm not positive... Anyone know?

Have not heard anything about an Art House "tour", that would be too cool.

Great movie, definitely one of my favorites from Japan. If you liked thate one check out The Hypnotist it is a wild ass, freaky movie.

After watching Uzumaki I found myself struggling to pinpoint exactly why I found it a thoroughly excellent movie. The movie had a very odd atmosphere throughout and the sedate pace only strengthened the movies ability to send frequent shivers up and down my spine. Visually it was one of the most arresting movies i've seen in a long time. It was like the live-action, horror-anime movie that David Lynch has never made. The lack of explanation for the events of the movie only succeded in increasing it's enigmatic nature. It did everything that a good horror movie is supposed to do. It gave me chills and made me jump several times. I rewound the DVD to view a few of the more memorable moments several times. Gonna watch it again this weekend. I'd give it 4/5. Superb.

IZombie...is The Hypnotist available on DVD. What is it about? I have an insatiable appetite for Easter Horror at the moment.

I can feel a DVD buying spree coming on sometime soon.

The Hypnotist:

Strange events start happening in Japan people are comitting strange acts of suicide; someone runs to death, another strangles himself infront of a wedding part, another jumps out of a window in front of his wife all of them talking about a green monkey.

A doctor in Japan is using hynosis to help people with bad memories they'd like to forget, however his is leaving a post hypnotic suggestion with them. if they here a bell or metallic sound the memories come rushing back 100 fold causing the people to kill themselves.

Excellant movie!!

I just saw Uzumaki on the IFC channel. It was so fantasically wonderful and bizarre!

Excellent film, one of the best Asian horror films, ever! Lookin forward to the dvd edition to come out soon.
