I DO! I'm getting sick and tired of Missy Elliot, Eve, Brandy, Janet Jackson, and especially Mary.J.Blige. If they got some damn singing instructions, they would've been tolerable, but man oh man! Mary.J.Blige's No More Drama, THAT won an MTV Video Music Award ? If she wanted to do her own bitching about the war on terror, she could do it in her own damn room. They are all terrible singers with ZERO talent.

Who agrees ?

no matter what genre of music, your always going to have a band or artist complaining about something, whether it be war, women, men, socks or condoms, doesnt matter. I don't believe in segregation when it comes to music, i love all kinds, i used to feel that R n B and Hip Hop was shit, but it grew on me, whenever i need to get loose, or go to a club, its great music to hear, and whenever im pissed, or am with the guys, i crank up some Andrew W.K. and go berzerk.

I totally disagree, and I am going to go off on a rant.........;)

Zero Talent????? Mary J Blige???

You have got to be kidding! The woman is phenomenal. Her singing is filled with emotion, and she sings from her heart, not her wallet (unlike most musicians). She writes almost all of her songs and is one of the most critically praised R&B singers of the 90's. Zero talent??? I don't think so!

Eve and Missy are two of the most celebrated hip hop artists who garner alot of critical praise, and have ingenius raps. Brandy has a soft and beautiful voice. and Janet Jackson is well Janet Fucking Jackson. the woman can dance, she has some kick ass songs....she is an enteratiner.

Obviously they are all talented, especially Mary J Blige!

She's so musically talented, that she feels the need to sample the theme song of a soap opera? I'm not bashing your tastes, but the "artists" you mentioned have contributed nothing to music. Lyrically? There might be something there. Vocally? They can sing better than I can (with the exceptions being Missy and Eve). Musically? They don't exist.

Just becasue an artist samples a song does not mean that they are not talented. Nearly every artist these days samples an older song.

You do make a very valid point though. The above artists have not really contributed anything to music. However what artist in the last 20 years, save Madonna and Michael Jackson have really contributed anything to music??? None of them!

Little Richard, the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin....they have contributed to music............I totally agree with you, the 5 above artists have not really contributed to music, but when looking at the whole picture, no artist in recent memory has! Not Aerosmith, not P.Diddy, not the Dixie Chicks, not Garth Brooks, not The White Stripes, not the Strokes...certainly not Vanilla Ice.......pretty much none!

Well, that boils down to perspective. To me, Madonna and Michael Jackson haven't contributed anything to MUSIC. They kickstarted fashion trends and elicited plenty of controversy, but they both churn out standard pop drivel. They always have, and they always will. I could list a zillion artists who have made a dent in the music industry with their MUSIC, but we'd probably disagree on that as well.

I think Mary J. Blige is an absolutely incredible singer and artist, and the music business is better to have her in it. Janet Jackson is very talented in many ways. Brandy has a very nice voice. I love R & B, I really and truly do. Eve? Missy Elliott? No thanks, hip-hop is not my thing at all. Why? I don't consider it actual music. I call it a bunch of people screaming to false, synthesized beats. But to each his own.
