This is a movie that I kept meaning to watch for a while people kept talking about it in various film classes. I watched it and have to say wow what a great movie. I was totally captivated and enjoyed it 8/10. I was just curious what everyone else thought.

I have to admit that the first time I saw this movie I didn't like. Well, except for the cat getting shot against the wall, LOL!!

But after it was only 10 bucks brand new at Best Buy, I picked it up and watched it a few times and I must say that it has grown on me.

(8/10).

BTW, did you see it on DVD?? I love the trailer it contains. One of the best I've ever seen!

One of the few movies I can watch over and over again and never get tired of. David Della Rocco was the shit. And Willem Dafoe's Paul Smecker is probably the only gay film character I've ever liked.

8/10, too.

And now schmoes, something I pray to God will happen:

EEEEWWWW!!!! I certainly hope they DON'T make a Boondock 2... I don't see Dafoe attached to star in it, so I'm afraid it wouldn't be that great. Afterall, Willam Dafoe played one of the best and funniest characters in this movie that I have ever seen. I mean, is Boondock Saints even THAT GOOD if it weren't for him (and the cat scene)? It's an 8/10 after my third viewing though (a 6/10 the first time, so it gets better time after time).

I love The Boondock Saints! This is such an underrated movie! I first saw about a month and half ago, and I have not gotten my mind off it since. Destined to become a cult classic!

Well I just got the DVD tonight, so I'm off to watch it. I thank god my friend made me sit down & watch this flick, I owe him big time.

Hey does everyone else think it hell of a funny when when Dafoe is kneeling on the street firing he gun into the air while the gun battle with Il Duce is going on right around him?

SPOILERS FOR BOONDOCK SAINTS

I have to say the saddest part in that movie is when Rocco gets shot at the end. I was break down at the part, I just can't help myself.

EXCELLENT flick... bought in on impulse from Best Buy and WHOO, I loved every second of it. Some quality moments (I guess you COULD consider these spoilers...):

-- Smecker's Riverdance

-- The rope conversation

-- "In TV you've always got that guy who jumps over the sofa..." "And you've got to shoot at him for 10 f****** minutes."

Very Tarantino-like, and some of the best usage of both slow-mo and classical music that I've seen in a while. Shame it never got a wide release (was it limited release or straight-to-video?). It could have been the next "Pulp Fiction."

Yeah, great movie. I love the deleted scene on the DVD where the boys are talking to their Mom back in Ireland and she's pretending that she's gonna kill herself. Man, that was funny shite. That should have made the final cut.

I see IMDB has finally posted a page for a sequel.
