This is my first stab at a reveiw so I would like to know what you think of it and any pointers you can give me in the future to aid me with future reviews as I intend to do quite a few more thanx for any help.

This film has the nice idea of the killer being impossible to escape, as the teens have to escape death. When Alex has a premonition that is plane is going to crash (great effects here well done to who ever did them) he and some of the others on board run off the plane. Low an behold about five minuets the plane dose explode and all the attention turns to Alex. But this is only the beginning for they discover that death had intended them to have been killed in the plane crash and so will now have to come up with a new pattern a new plan for them to meet their demise. To make the plot better Alex find out the order in which death had intended them to die so he knows who is going to die next!
A very good film that is action packed and will leave you thinking about life hours after the film has finished. Some decent death scenes not that the film really needs them. The constant fear that anything could prove fatal combined with a few very affective jump scenes makes this a roller coaster ride. There are also quite a few clever little moments in this film (don't worry I won't give any away) which in its self is quite surprising considering how recent this film is and how many other recent films have lacked this suspense building skill.
The whole cast in my view dose a very good job. One of the few flaws I can find in this film is that after saying that a plane will explode and then leaving the plane wouldn't Alex be under a bit more investigation say from the police or FBI? Though I suppose it is a film and one of the best new horror films for a while. I even convinced my none horror liking friends to check this one out and they thought it was good to. Definitely check this one out if you can you will not be disappointed. One of the films strong point is never revealing the identity of the killer as I feel to personify death would be a very daft thing for any film to do as it would just appear cheesy. While in the film it appears very threatening not knowing were how or with what you might die, creepy stuff.

thanx for taking the time to read this, any pointers for my future reveiws would be very much appreciated.

Good review. You might want to include a rating/grade, though.

Anyway, I wasn't too thrilled with Final Destination. My biggest complaint is that the characters were tailor-made for a cheap slasher. Well, this isn't a slasher. I was hoping for layered, compelling performances and engaging characters to root for, but I wasn't dealt any of that.

"Final Destination" is a very overrated film. It started out very well done. The "plane crash" scene is one of the most frightening opening sequences ever put on film. But from there, the movie slides down a razorblade and right into the stinging salt that is the stereotypical slasher flick. "Final Destination" could have been a very smart and intriuging horror movie, but instead it opted to become a simple slasher film where the only difference is, that the slasher manages to get a bunch of teens to kill THEMSELVES in rather gory, over the top ways. Typical.

RATING 4/10

Final Destination is a great movie with surprising twists and turns. Wonderful suspence and action as Alex and company try to escape Death. I'm looking forward to see how they pull off the second movie.
