Keanu Reeves. What do you think?

In all honesty, I really think that Keanu Reeves is a terrible actor... in most roles. However , I think he was born to play the role of Neo. He has this wierd way of talking that makes him seem like he's high or something. Do you guys agree or disagree with me? If you disagree, who do you think would be a better Neo?

He's an awful actor. And when I say awful, I mean AWFUL . ;)

But I think, yes, he does a good job as Neo. Probably because Neo is some sort of a slow geek, and that's what Keanu seems to be. :D And besides, in THE MATRIX, most of the stuff Neo did was watch and ask questions, at least until he "started to believe", as stated by Morpheus. And then all he did was kick butt, and that doesn't need great acting skills either. :p

I dunno, I guess we'll see in RELOADED if he's really cut for the part, or if he's just a real-life Neo.

I'm not a big fan of Keanu either. In his other flicks besides Matrix, he's a big pussy. He was made to play Neo. I don't think the movie could have been the same without him. I guess it's just his style in the movie, but was he cool or what?

How good he is really depends on the material. As an action star, he's okay as long as he's not required to do any genuine "acting." I don't think I've seen any of his lesser films yet.

I enjoy seeing Keanu on screen. I have enjoyed most of his movies, the replacments, bill and ted, Point break, The matrix, The Gift(I belive this was his greatest acting achievment, he did very well) but The Watcher was terrible..and he got tricked into doing that anyway.

i agree with the majority, im not that much of a fan, but hes doing a good job as neo.

The role was almost born for him, i mean the Woa! line was in the script before casting! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?! No inprob there :D

I have to admit that he was great in Bill and Ted's. I loved that movie. I wonder though, are his roles becoming too advanced for him. I mean, in Reloaded he wont be the questions asking Neo anymore. Now he's the questions answering Neo.

i have always like KEANU REEVES ever since BILL AND TEDS, i have liked most to all of his movies. in his movies i do notice the same kinda "tone" of his voice, but i still love his movies, n think he is a fine actor. Now he has been compared to (more like this actor has been compared to him) but CHRIS KLEIN, i FUCKING HATE CHRIS KLEIN, heis a no talent hack, but keanu reeves gets a lot of undeserving shit!

I think he was funny in Bill and Ted with his constant offbeat comments and references to the age of Bill's Mom. Any actor with a punchline of woa is definately either stoned or bad. The gift made me glad I didn't live in the south.

I never hated him as much as some schmoes do. He is a cool actor. I really liked him in Point Break, The Gift, Sweet November, A Walk In The Clouds, and, of course, The Matrix. He was born play Neo and he did it wonderfully. His performance made me say "Whoa!".

the only movie that keeanu reeves did that i hated, was hardball. that was one of the biggest pieces of shit that has ever been called a movie. but other than that, i have no problem with the guy.

I think he's good in Speed, the Bill & Ted flicks, and The Matrix ones movies. Other than that, no other roles really stick out in my mind when it comes to good old Keanu. I like his name. A lot. :D

I realyl don't have a problem with the guy. He has made some decent movies, and some movies that I love, so No, I don't think he's that bad... at all. There a much less talented actors to hit the big screen. And yes... He is the PERFECT Neo.

i don;'t think he's a bad actor. i like SOME of his movies. but i think neo was a good role for him. he sorta fits. i can't really see anyone else playing neo. its like he IS neo...i dunno

Keanu+ kickass coat + awesome fight scenes =job well done.

Neo didn't really need to have a full-force of acting power behind it, and I think Keanu played the role well. And, I swear, he has the perfect hair for the role. :D

I personally think he's a good actor. I saw him first in Speed, which was one of the first action movies of high class, of course i loved him there.

Now, he has movies that are horrible (e.g. Hardball) and the genius ones (does The Matrix need to be mentioned?). He's got good looks, convincing acting and plus some inside men charm. Russel Crowe's got this charm too, but he's a men of another breed. Keanu isn't a sweetie boy, ain't a real bad guy either, he's like a boy next door, who draws attention.

Yeah I agree. I persoanlly think The Replacements was his worst, while The Matrix and Bill and Ted's Exellent advennture (he wasn't a pus) was his best.

I deffinatly agree with you guys there. I mean, no one, no one, could've been Neo other than Reeves. It's like he was meant... no, no BORN to play Neo. However, now this is a long shot question here, and don't jump all over me because of asking this because I'm just curious, do you schmoes think that Keanu Reeves has the ability and possibility to win... an Oscar? What did I tell you? Long shot question. But what do you think?
