MGM is a sucky movie company, I can tell you that. They were a fantastic group back in the day, with "Our Gang" shorts and all. But now, in 2002, they suck balls, big fat white balls. See, MGM recently cracked down on the top Bond sites after some of the new DIE ANOTHER DAY script was released. It was only three small scenes, ones that occur in one setting. I loved what I read.

MGM hated it. They slapped all 007 fans in the face with what they did. They ordered that all official pictures be removed from the sites. Also, the top three Bond sites (CommanderBond.Net, MI6.CO.UK, and Absolutely James Bond) are under hourly watch by MGM watchdogs to make sure no copyrights are infringed or action will be taken.

This pisses me and the many other Bond fans off. WHY THE FCK WOULD THEY DO THIS?! After 40 years of making the Bond series one of the longest running in movie history (actually it IS the longest running) they do this? Come on.

I'm not suggesting that we boycott - the only way to get back at those bastards is to make DIE ANOTHER DAY kick the fkcing piss out of HARRY POTTER and other movies coming out or already out the weekend of November 22. Keep DAD at the top for a few weeks, make it the largest grossing Bond film in the US. Then, watch as MGM slips again and their stocks dive because the rest of their current films suck! I really wish EON would move the Bond franchise to Dreamworks...full creative control.

So what do you all think? Is this Nazi-ism or just a way to slap fans in the face?

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't have a problem with movie companies doing this. But I've never been one for digging for all the behind the scenes dirt before favorite films come out. As big as a Star Wars fan I am, I still try to avoid all the advance spoiler stuff as much as possible. Still I can understand why someone gets pissed about MGM kicking around some good fansites. Thats never cool, though we are talking about pieces of the script here not just a random pic here and there. TO me that is sort of serious security wise.

As a horror fan I have to support mgm. They have released some of the highest quality horror dvds around for some of the best prices. The recent Return of the Livind dead dvd release wih director commentary and glow in the dark covor for only 9.99 made me a happy happy boy. So its pretty hard for me to get grumpy at this great company who along with anchor bay zand new line have spoon fed me the horror goodness I love. To see reasons why to hate a company see my poop on paramount thread. :D

I don't blame them at all, internet rip offs surely get old. But guarding the sites is a bit over the top.

The Simpsons get the same treatment from FOX.

I'm in there air about it, because on one side, I like to see Simpsons in many forms, but on the other side, I don't want to see low quality Simpsons stuff. The people who make Simpsons porn should be dragged behind a pink family station wagon.

I don't know, Griswald. In the end, you lost me when you refered to the glory days of "Our Gang." ;)
