They're good. I wouldn't say they are favorite band material but they're good musicians with a few good songs.

I'm ALLLLL about old blues music, so these guys are right up my alley.. Most of the songs I've heard by them are just covers of Son house songs, or originals that they wrote in order to sneak in some familliar lyircs.. its COOOOL stuff and long overdue..

I DO find their mega ambiguous relationship to be kind of creepy though...

its not 100% clear if they r bro and sis or husband and wife. i like death letter the son house song. saw em live a damn did jack and meg get close. they were head 2 head at 1 point it was the best show io have ever seen and i seen bout 60 bands live.

oh yeah, their Death Letter was GREAT!!!

I like their version of John the Revelator...I'm not sure what they call it, but the Lyrics "tell me who's that writing now, john the revelator" are in the song.. it was reallly cool.

they do john the revilator in the middle of their song cannon. i love how they mix songs into eachother live.

They are the best new band around...without a doubt!

I can't help but love the hillbilly bastards!

They piss on Coldplay and The Strokes

They just have that certain something about them...Oooooh you know what I mean!

Ohhhhh....them's fightin' words, BCV! Coldplay and The Strokes are precisely, for my money, the two best bands new to the scene. The White Stripes are OK, their video for Fell in Love with a Girl is genius, and their old bluesy stuff is great, like Romero said, but there's something about them that seems...off...

And Nate...I'm afraid I don't buy into The Strokes (Call me a philistine)...They seem awfully contrived to be honest with you...I Just can't seem to muster up any respect whatsoever for a few "trendy" toffs that go around shagging the likes of Amanda De Cadanet...

And Coldplay...Don't even get me started on them...

Take that back!!! hehe I like the White Stripes (for what I have heard at least) but they are no where near as good as Coldplay!

Rock on you guys! The White Stripes rock, I love White Blood Cells, it's a great CD, probably the best so far this year. And how can you not love the video for "Fell in Love With a Girl"! Does anyone have De Stijl or their self-titled debut? If so how do they compare to WBC?

the first 2 albums are better IMO thay are alot rougher sounding and alot more bluesy. i say get em.
