If you thought One Flew Over the Coukoo's Nest was crazy then you should definitly check out this underrated gem from 1973

Nurse Charolette Beal decides to take a job at Stephen's Sanitarium, which in reality is an isolated respite house in the woods. Doctor Stephens doesn't believe in locks. So if a catotonic girl jumps out at you with a butch knife THAT IS OK. Why? Because they are a family. They a group. They are the Forgotten

The acting in this movie is excellent all of the characters were convincing in their roles. You had Allison the Nymphomaniac. Ben, a man who had recieved a labotomy therefore now acts like an eight year old. The Judge. Mrs. Callahan, the old bat. And a few others.

As far as gore is concerned this movie was pretty dry. Although keep an eye out at the ending ;) But this is 1973 we are talking about. Movies then had a basis on suspense more than gore.

There is quite a bit of nudity in this film. Although pretty much all of it comes from our lovley Allison :)

So now the scores

Plot- 8/10
Gore- 5/10
Suspense- 6/10
Acting- 9/10
Nudity- 4/10

Overall- 6.3

This along with Scarecrow Slayer and The Exorcist is one of the unintentionally funniest horror movies of all time. I mean I couldn't stop laughing and what was with some of the super close ups on peoples' faces? Not too mention this movie is rather dumb(not putting locks on the doors, giving a psychopath an axe) , the acting is lousy, the pace lags, and the score was really corny. However the end massacre was somewhat interesting(though not gory enough) and the nymphomaniac was somewhat good looking. If it wasn't for the constant unintentionally funny moments I never would've finished watching this.
