In CoS there are many new characters. A short list of them is
-Dobby The House Elf
-Lucius Malfoy
-Cornelius Fudge Minister of Magic
-Prof. Gilderoy Lockhart
-Prof. Sprout(I know she was supposed to be in the year one film, but she will make her appearance in this one)
-Moaning Myrtle
-Ginny Weasley(She was barely in the first film)
-Colin Creevey
-Mr. Borgin
-Mr and Mrs Mason
-Ernie Macmillian
-Justin Finch-Fletchely
-Arthur Weasley
-Molly Weasley
-Tom Marvolo Riddle
That is about it. My answer is Moaning Myrtle. In the books she is hilarious and I think the ghost effects are very good, so she will most likely be a great character.
P.S. I know this is not a character, but I also cannot wait to see The Burrow. The Weasley family was great in the first film and their home should be bursting with comedy.
I can't agree more. I can't see how they're going to present "The Burrow". It will be so exciting to see the whole Weasleys in the same place.
And "Moaning Myrtle" will sure to be lots of fun.
But mostly I'm so excited about Proffessor Gildorey Lockhart. The casting of Kenneth Branagh is really brilliant.

Lockhart. I wanna see how K. Brannagh is gonna play the character. ;)
I think Branagh will play it perfectly well. Never though of someone better for the part. I think he'll be hilarious at some moments!
Btw, Cloin Creevy should be something funny two. He was so lovely in the books, I remeber. Hope they've found a good kid for him.
and shure, DOBBY. I love him so much (from Goblet of Fire, mainly)

Here is the child performer cast as Colin Creevey. His name is Hugh Mitchell, I believe. I think he perfectly captures the eager geekiness of his character. I don't dig the camera though. Why is it so old fashioned. Is Colin from the 60's? I don't Mrs. Rowling said he had a time turner! :)

Well, the kid looks good. And the camera is old fashioned, i guess, because he's a wizard. And as u see in the books when wizards try to do muggle stuff they do it in the most hilarious way (if u remember the Quidditch world cup and the way some wizards were dressed- and Mr. Weasly in almost every muggle thing he tries to do).
Or it's a magical camera that it doesn't have to be all techno to take a good picture. He'll be funny. I think. He looks like some funny boy in this pic :)

Definitely Lockhart, I still think Hugh Grant would've been perfect for the role, but I'm anxious to see Branagh play him anyway!

I'm looking foward to seeing Ginny ( she looks hot in the new pics , much older than eleven. ) and Lucius although I'm not a big fan of his long hair. ( he looks like a reject elf from Lord of the Rings. )

I hope they keep Hugh Grant in mind while casting GoF. Grant would make a superb Ludovic "Ludo" Bagman. That roles fit Grant pefectly. He loves to act like a smarmy bloke. I am sure he can be a somewhat stupid and cheating git too.

I'm currently on page 100 of The Chamber of Secrets novel, so I obviously haven't been exposed to all the characters yet. But I'm looking forward to seeing Dobby The House Elf (he's CRAZEE!) and Lucius Malfoy. I'm looking forward to seeing Gilderoy Lockhart, but only because he's being played by Kenneth Branagh.
Although I doubt it, I hope there will be more of Mrs. Weasley in the first one. Julie Walters seems like a great actress. I say seems because I admittingly haven't seen her in much, but I loved her in Billy Elliot.

SPOILERS
She will be. We have two whole chapters where Harry stay with The Weasleys. We will see a LOT more of them, in my opinion.

I've only got about 30 pages left now. Now I find I'm looking forward to seeing Colin Creevy, Moaning Myrtle and Ginny Weasley quite a bit.

ludo bagman is supposed to be played by stephen fry according to some reports, and a damn good job he would do too.
the character i'm looking forward to is in PoA and that is prof lupin, who i think should be played by a british actor called paul mcgann. he would be perfect for the part....

Ah but Colin is a MUGGLE-BORN. His dad is a milkman. He was also described as having an 'ORDINARY MUGGLE CAMERA'. They should've tried to look for early 90's models of cameras available (The Chamber of Secrets is set in 1992.)
