Demon's 2? Was Arrow too tough?

The reason why I ask is because I really want to see the original Demons, and the best deal I've seen is the double disc version with the sequel that they sell at Best Buy.

Arrow's review is making me second guess myself though because I usually agree with him on most movies.

What do you guys think of the sequel?

I'm also curious as to whether or not the sequel is worth picking up. Arrow's review is discouraging, but I'm still on the fence with this one.

I thought it was one of the best Demon/Zombie/Action movies to ever come out of Italy.


Often imitated,but never duplicated,it stands the test of time.Demons 2 perfected what Demons 1 started,but as i've said in a previous post,taken together they are a potent horror combination for fans of the genre.


Will be appreciated by future generations of horror fanatics,it's a brilliant creation.


If you're hesistant about getting the 2 disc set,look at this way,if you see just one,no matter which one it is,you will most likely be curious about the other.So i would definitely recommend them both.


You can't appreciate one without the other,even though part 2 is only a sequel in spirit.

The first Demons f@ckin rocks big time, so the sequel has a hell of a lot to live up to. I Got the double pack DVD recently and watched the 2 back to back. Id seen Demons pretty recently and y know its the kinda movie u can watch over..? Just skimmed over Arrows review, and although he is pretty harsh about it, im very much inclined to agree with him...
The points he raises are totally bang on the mark (esp Bobby Rhodes!!!) but as he says, when held up against the first movie, it really shows as a shitter...

I didnt think Demons was great as people say, sure the black pimp guy was cool as fuck, but it has boring moments and it's good dont get me wrong just a little overated, however I do enjoy the sequel alot more. It's good, entertaining, and if your not very picky with what movies you watch you should enjoy it.

i have both on dvd and love em both. i think the 2nd is really good. great setting in the highrise and sum cool stuff in it.

No way, not after Demons ended the awsome way it did, when you finish Demons, you really want to see the continuing story, Demons 2 screwed that all to hell.

Imagine the sequal to Night of the Living Dead not being Dawn but instead is the same thing as Night only it takes place in one room with 4 dumb zombies and breaks the rules the first one made. To top it off it forgets that the first ever happend...

Demons was a decent movie. I thought it was a little creepy, despite the cheese. Don't remember Demons 2.

Wasn't the Church 'spose to be the prequel? Now that was terrible.

Thanks for all the help guys. I just decided to say Fuck it and buy it anyways. I spend so much damn money on DVD's anyways another 20 bucks isn't gong to kill me right?

I'll definitely weigh back in with my two cents though when I finally watch it.

I gave both Demons and Demons 2 7/10 ratings but I found the sequel to be more entertaining than the original. I thought the skyscraper was a very nice setting.

Demons 2 is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. There's no redeeming things about this movie. Avoid it.

I haven't seen the first so I can't comment on that and the continuity thing, but stay away from this. The only reason I have it, is because Videodrome in on the same tape.

I enjoyed Demons 2, it certainly isn't as good as Demons but had it's fair share of creepy moments. I do think Arrow was a bit too tough on this flick but it was his opinion on the film, not mine.
Demons- 9/10
Demons 2- 7/10
