I know it was only like 40 seconds long, but it was still very cool. My favorite part was with Saruman. His little speech was cool and very scary. Aragorn's last comment was quite chilling. Poor race of man.......

Enjoy! I know I did. The entire thing was amazing, and seeing as how it was only 30 seconds long, it was still incredibly exciting. The shot with the thousands of Orcs marching through the valley was especially awesome! Good shit.

Dumb-Fokker-** are you going out for the moderator of this LOTR sub-forum. If you are I wish you luck. I really enjoyed reading the TTT and FOTR countdowns. Fun times.

I'm downloading it right now as I'm posting this. I can't wait to see the full trailer on Monday - we get to see Treebeard running! :)

edit: Here's the original message from the person who hosted it.

"Longtime lurker, just thought I'd contribute for a change...

I have the TTT clip ET just aired up for download on my server. Feel free to grab it if you want, however, do not give the link to any news sites such as TORN right now, or else my server will implode

Enjoy guys...

The download did not work for me. :( It said download time would be 31 minutes and I waited but with like 3 minutes left it said the download could not work and it performed a legal operation. I guess I will have to wait until I can download the whole thing on the official site.

If you go over to www.theonering.net they've got screenshots, a windows media version and low and high res quicktime versions I think.

Still it might be worth just waiting for the trailer on Monday.

The eye of Sauron looks frickin' awesome, although really freaky.
Now I've seen it all I can't wait for the trailer on Monday. That shot that pans back form Orthanc showing that huge army is awesome! Man the battles in TTT are gonna rock! :)

Just watched the clip.......Yes, I really enjoyed that.

I look forward to the full trailer on Monday even more though (If it is available to lesser mortals).

The shot of Orthanc was stunning, as was the shot of the armies making their way over the valleys.......The scale of Orthanc looks even greater in this film, and it just makes me feel so excited for the attack of the Ents.

P.S - Is it me, or have they slightly changed the appearance of The Great Eye ?

Perhaps an extended budget has allowed them to polish a few things up.

Actually ak, I believe that the Great Eye's appearance is altered in that particular scene from the trailer, because it is what the Eye looks like when not in the wraith-world. Every other time Frodo saw the Eye, he was wearing the Ring - I believe that this may just be the Great Eye itself - without the Ring. And yes, the footage kicked major amounts of ass. I really enjoyed Eowyns lines, and I also think Hill will be the Boromir of this film. Dec. 18th needs to hurry its ass up.

The eye looks more violent than before. It looks as if it will explode throwing off explosions of flame. It is not as flat and digital as the FOTR eye.

Now I'm beginning to realise what Jackson was getting at when he said "If people are going to see this film expecting more of the same, then they are not going to get it".

The Two Towers looks far more involving and dramatic. Quite rightly so, as the books is.
As I have stated before, it is my favourite book (TTT), let's see if it turns out to be one of my favourite films.

What I am waiting for is the reviews for this film. You know, the ones that say "If you thought Fellowship was great/epic/spectacular wait til you see this!" Namely, probably all of them. I have to say though, TTT is my least favorite book, with Fellowship being first, but I expect that each film will just get better and better, and subsequently, make the previous film better for it. Especially with Extended Editions. Oh, and can someone please tell me where that section at the Official site where you could see if they added stuff to some scenes of the movie ( with *for added material, and **for new scenes) - I cant seem to find it.

I want to see some early reviews also Dumb-Fokker-**. I have been reading a bunch of ones for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and they always double my excitement. I have not seen a single review of TTT except a one sentence one from an MPAA viewer who said it was "really epic and possibly the best film I've ever seen". I want a ten paragraph review of the film, but it will come soon I am sure. Till then we have an awesome new trailer to look forward to. :)

That MPAA review was fake, so there wasn't any review of it yet. FoxNews reviewed the 16 minute clip New Line is starting to show the media and said it could be another best picture contender. They were particularly excited about Gollum, they said he blew Jar Jar Binks away. I wouldn't guess you'd start seeing reviews until mid november or so, like with FOTR.

Has TTT obtained a MPAA rating yet? Usually a full trailer is released after the film has obtained a MPAA rating. Like for the second Harry Potter film the new trailer said PG so I would be suoprised if the second trailer does not have a rating. It will be PG-13 of course, but I wonder if any new reasons will be added like HP2 has "some creature violence" and Harry Potter 1 did not. I think TTT will most likely have the same rating because FOTR had epic battles and scary images. I don't TTT will have language or sexuality.

The MPAA review was a fake, absolutely no question about it.

I think the eye looks cool but it could be a little goofy if it's going to be like that for the entire film, especially at that size. It looks like a giant football just sitting at the top of the tower. The only way I think we will see it like that is:
- through Frodo: Although I doubt he'll be putting on the ring when he's that close. He did see it on top of the tower from the watching chair in FOTR though so so it's a possibility.
- through the palantir: I think this is the most likely, like when Aragorn looks into it or perhaps even Pippin.
- through the mirror of Galaldriel. I know that in the upcoming films other people may look into it. I've heard Arwen does.

It won't bother me that much, just as long as it's not visible to everyone.

Oh Miranda Otto was great in the trailer.
"They were uinarmed. They had no warning" - aaah the voice of an angel. I think I'm in love shmoes! :D

Even if the picture and audio quality sucked, that was still pretty damn good. Only 14 hours to the release of the trailer...
