I just rented this from blockbuster, and it looks like it will
be a good movie.

But I am wondering if anyone has seen it,
and what are your thoughts about it?

Overview: In the summer of 1999, a series of black garbage bags filled with dismembered body parts (one part missing from each bag) begin to show up around Seoul: in an elevator, on a highway, at the edge of a basketball court. Detective Cho, assigned to the case, struggles to identitify the victims. When at last the killer starts to drop hints, Cho makes a startling discovery: all the victims are ex-lovers of a woman named Su-yeon, a curator at the National Museum. In the course of his inquiry, Cho befriends Su-yeon, and begins to learn about her troubled past.

I've wanted to see this Korean movie. Korean movies are very similar to American movies much more so than Japanese movies.

My friend watched it and said it was kinda boring.

Others have said it was a Se7en wannabe. You make the decision.

Well, I watched it, and enjoyed it alot.

The atmosphere is not close to being like Seven.
Although it rains alot in the movie.
As a mater of fact, I can't seem to find
any connection to Seven throughout the entire
movie.

It is bloody, we're talking 4 gallon tanks full of blood here,
that flows. Severed limbs, heads, you name it, it's severed.
It keeps you on the edge of your seat in a few scenes,
and while it bogged down somewhat in the middle,
it didn't take me out of the movie.
The Killer is a sick twisted mother F'er.
It's not your general serial killer with a motive
flick either, where they stand up, and give you
their reasons for the things they do.
The Film allows you to think about it, even
giving you subtle hints, about the motive.
It's also a good mystery, as just when you have
the killer pegged, it's not who you think it is.

all in all, I give it an 8 out of 10.
