Has anybody ever seen a film from the early 70's Directed by my man John Sturges called Joe Kidd? Eastwood is in it, along w/ John Saxon, Don Stroud aaaaand...Robert Duval. It's really quite good. It would fall somewhere in Clint's Top 20 films, and among his 10 Best Westerns. It's probably my favorite of them.
Also, The Beguiled is a Civil War film, with a quasi-Western feel. It's also amazing.

My vote is for me the quintessential Western: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. I am kinda surprised other westerns like The Outlaw Josey Wales weren't listed though.

That's another Civil War film w/ a quasi-Western feel :)
The man has done his share in the genre:
Rawhide (TV) [1959]
Ambush at Cimarron Pass (1958)
A Fistfull of Dollars (1964)
For a Few Dollars More (1965)
The Good The Bad and The Ugly (1966)
Hang 'Em High (1968)
Paint Your Wagon (1969)
Two Mules For Sister Sara (1969)
The Beguiled (1971)
Joe Kidd (1972)
High Plains Drifter (1972)
The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976)
Bronco Billy (1980) (A bit of a stretch, but that many horses always means "Western" to me...)
Pale Rider (1985)
Unforgiven (1992)

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly I think is his best, but I also like High Plains Drifter, most especially when that woman is calling him "whiskey breath" and then he has his way with her. I also am fond of Pale Rider because Sydney Penney is sexy.

He made a bunch of good westerns, but none anywhere near as good as Unforgiven. Masterful film-making, and the quintessential Clint movie. 9.5/10

The spagetti westerns are great. They are in a class by themselves, but so is Clint Eastwood: My personal favorite
THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY.

I usually don`t like this genre, but I really like Unforgiven. It`s a wonderfully directed movie with great performances and exquisite cinematographer.

Gotta go with Pale Rider. I love the scene where he goes into town, beats the snot out of the bad guys with the axe handle and says "there's nothin' like a good piece o' hickory"

So am I, for many reasons, but that is chief among them. What a total and complete doll she is in that film. She still looks magnificent. I have no earthly idea why she isn't a bigger star than she is.
Who is and isn't on the so-called "A List" is one of the things that is a source of constant irritation to me.
