Black Hawk Down: Delta Force

Has anyone tried out the new BHD game?! OMFG its the sweetest game ever. Better than CS i think. The whole situation and guns, and atmosphere is just kickass. Its out on Demo right now and should be coming out in full version later this month. I DEFINATLY suggest you buy it!

Well, I used to play Delta Force: Land Warrior all the time but then school started. I downloaded the demo but it wasn't working properly....anyone else have this problem? Well I must say the game does look sweet.

I'd have to download the demo...If some of you remember we had a discussion about it here on the boards a few months ago, and I was one of the few who was (by principle) against the concept of a violent game based on a real life situation, but I guess now I'd have to see the game to judge.

I too was against the idea, but i was against the idea that these would be characters, and it had the same plot base, but its just like a normal battle in a village with black hawk helicopters flying all above/around you. still a kickass game

i had a go on Land Warrior the other day, and will be buying BHD...but better than CS? yeah...right.

counter-strike will still the the classic, but its too old school for me now, i've played it for almost 3 years now, and nothnig too new has come out since then. its time for something new.

This game kicks ass in every way. You can get in the helicopters, which fly all over a huge map. And the detail of the maps are by far the best ever. Makes Counter-Strike maps look like super nintendo. The realism, and intensity of everything is an adrenaline rush. The sound quality is superb. This is a must buy!

I was also one of those who was against this game. As amazing as those screen shots look, they still feel a little uncomfortable about playing a game like this. It's just getting too true to life for me I think. Initially I had the same feelings about the most recent Medal of honor. THose opening D-Day levels were incredible, I have to admit. But man at first, I can't explain it fully, but it just doesn't feel right to me playing a game based on such a meaningful, but also horrible event. BUt then again I can't deny that the game had me up almost all night playing it. And if I end up giving this BHD game a spin I'm sure the same will happen, but I honestly am not sure that I will.

They've delayed the release of this game for sometime now, but it's official,

MARCH 25th is the set date for Black Hawk Down: Delta Force.

They've updated their official site, and have shown more screenshots. They've also released a new FREE demo via their official site. I'd definatly suggest you download it if you have a good quality computer. The graphics are amazing. Best i've ever seen. THe multiplayer map is huge, puts Battle field 1942 to shame! The realism in the AI, and the single player is just kickass. You start off in a helicopter, flying over a desert, then you go over a little town shooting the men with RPGs, and after that you land in the embassy compound, and try to take it over with hostages inside, and about 20 guys, so you have to throw flash grenades, and CQB (close quater combat) then once you rescue them, and secure the perimeter, you have to cross the town to the convo and extract. VERY TITE indeed! i definatly suggest you try the free demo.

I have played it on and offline and i think that it is a decent game it could be the one Delta Force game which is actually any good IMO. (soz to DF fans if i have angered you)
