Sorry for the capital letters guys, but I just tryed to play my "Deep Red" DVD and it didnt 't work.
It was the 2 disc set from Anchor Bay that comes with Tenebre...that damn DVD worked, but I wanna see Deep Red!
Has there been a problem with this DVD or something?
It's brand new and it was the first time I ever tried to watch it, not a damn scratch or fleck of dust on thing.
The thing that pisses me off the most is I don't have the receipt so I don't think that I can return it.
Please help me! My DVD player says there's no disc. What the F?!?!?

What player and model number do you have.Sometimes there are conflicts with certain DVD's and DVD players.Or the DVD is probably just defective,in which case you will have to send it back for a new one.
Check out both Anchor Bay's website and the maker of the DVD player to see what you can find.

I have the same set and had no problems with either DVD.
Check the back of your disc for scratches. I've noticed my DVD player seems very picky with some of the discs I rent from hollywood video, I think I gonna start charging them for the discs I clean.

Thanks for the compliment on my Avatar, it's my favorite movie cover (Sleepaway Camp II)...I find something spellbinding about it even though on the surface it looks pretty cheesy...anyways.
As far as the disc, as I said it was absolutely flawless which made me even more pissed off.
I don't have a receipt but I'm thinking maybe if I bring it back to Hollywood video that they might let me exchange it for another one. That's wishful thinking...but maybe.

I highly recommend an all code/region free player.Iv'e had one for just about a year now,and it's played every disc with no problems whatsoever(even the first batch of the defective Opera special edition dvds.Which is by Anchor Bay also, maybe it's something to do with their dvd authoring). All this nonsense with region codes and RCE does nothing to help matters.

I had this prob with my Tank Girl DVD, it wouldn't auto play.
Found out that I needed to stop it, like, not let it try and go on to menu screen. Just stop it, once it's stopped then hit yr root menu button and try to play it. Try that or mess with yr parental settings, I've heard that works sometimes.

I don't know if this is the problem here, as Anchor Bay tend to make their DVDs Region 0, meaning they'll play anywhere. Their Sleepaway Camp Survival Kit Boxset is certainly region-free.

Yeah, it's lookin like Anchor Bay is pretty much shit quality. My Suspiria 3 disc set is screwed up as well. It'll be playing perfectly and then all of a sudden the entire screen will turn into green little dots, and it will play like that through out the entire movie. The only way to get rid of it is to turn it completely off. I've memorized where it happens, so all I have to do is fast forward through it for half a second, and then everything is ok. The disc is in dead mint condition, too -- not a scratch, not a mark, not a hair. Extremely fucking annoying...

I bought Phenomena last year and it played fine until the middle and then it fucked up.I had to take it back.
I bought a copy of The beyond and the same shit happened.i took it back and got another copy, and it worked fine.
Last year i bought the Opera Deluxe set and it messed up too,so i went to the Anchorbay website and learned that copies of Opera and Suspiria had been recalled,so i sent my copie to them and they sent me a fresh one back and it worked. They also sent me a "bonus" DVD.As I opened it ,thoughts of House by the Cemetary,or TeneBrae flashed to my head. You guys know what i got???

I've had exactly the same problem with that 2-disc set Mojo - every other R1 disc I have works fine (and there are a few :) ) but this disc didn't even register in the DVD player.
I ordered one of the single disc versions and that plays fine, so I switched discs and will hopefully get the single disc version replaced!
It is strange though - hope you get yours sorted out!
***UPDATE****
I spoke too soon with the second disc! It actually loaded into my DVD player so I thought it was alright and didn't watch it there and then, but I watched it this afternoon and throughout the film it kept sticking, numerous times. I could still watch the whole film but it's soooo annoying. The documentary doesn't work though - it gets about 6 minutes in (sticking all the way) and then dumps me back to the menu screen. Guess I'm going to have to return this one too.
It does seem that Anchor Bay are having problems with their authoring from the other responses on this thread. My Tenebrae works fine, as does the Suspiria set I've got, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the two other double packs I've got on order from Canada (Demons/Demons 2 and Inferno/Phenomena) work OK.
