Playstation 2. Despite all of it's cool features, X-Box just simply can't beat the PS2.

The graphics on XBox are better, controls I'm not sure, and as for better games PS2 is better now but the Xbox has a bright future.

I don't really pick favorites but... I gotta go with PS2: The library of games is simply amazing. I do like all 3 current consoles though.

I haven't played a game on X-Box that made me want to buy the system. I am not impressed with it at all. It may have flashy graphics, but every game I have played got real boring, real quick. Hopefully, they get a better library of games, because they seriously lack.
PS2 on the other hand as a great machine, with great games to go along. I even skipped the X-box and bought a Gamecube instead. Both systems are superior to X-box.

X-BOX is by far the better system. It is leaps and bounds ahead of the other two systems in graphics, controls and multi-player.
Not even the most die-hard PS2 fan could contest the difference in graphic quality. X-BOX beats PS2 hands down and completely blows GC out of the water.
The controls are by far the easiest to use and learn. The controller itself is comfortable to hold and the buttons are easy to access.
X-BOX Live which will launch in November, will be the most efficient, inexpensive and feature loaded Multi-Player platform out there.
As far as the game library goes, its growing every week. With games like NFL Fever taking over in their markets and upcoming exclusive titles like The Matrix, X-BOX looks to be the dominant platform in the very near future.

At the end of the day all that matters is choice. Which machine has the biggest library of games. Visually the three consoles are so advanced that it's kind of silly to argue about polygon counts and so on. Most games these day regardless of which of the three consoles they are on look absolutely gorgeous. The PS2 has an absolutely huge fucking catalogue (if you factor in all the PS1 games that can also be played it starts to get very silly indeed). Neither the X-Box nor the Gamecube come near the kind of volume of titles and breadth of genres that the PS2 covers. If you can only afford a single console then this pretty much renders both the X-Box and Gamecube obsolete. I don't own any of them at the moment because i'm living in a state of self-induced poverty. :(

Yeah, I agree with Psychocandy. I honestly haven't seen any noticeable difference in graphical quality between the 3 consoles; they all have amazing looking games. Really though, I play old games as much as new ones, so I'm not one to care much for graphics. I play PS2 the most simply because of the massive library of titles.

I'm going with the PS2. Not just because I own one, but I haven't really played a game on X Box that I actually consider good enough to make me buy an X Box. Also, the PS2 has such a large choice of games to go with it (both PSOne and PS2). The X Box is a good console, don't get me wrong, but I just consider PS2 better.

I played my friends GC and it was boring and crappy as hell. I own a PS2, I don't play it 24/7 but I like it better than GC and XBOX. I like XBOX bt only becuase of NBA Inside Drive 02 and 03 and also becuase of Halo. But PS2 is far more better. And mostly because of Grand Theft Auto 3 and I can't wait for Vice City.

X-Box is cool, but PS2 still pisses on it, PS2 has a lot better games and lets face it, it's coooooooler.

I know this thread Says Ps2 Vs Xbox, but I'm going to put my voice in here anyways.
I have a gamecube, and to put it simply, I love it.
MOST of the big games come to gamecube, plus Nintendo has an amazing group of GC only games.
Including:
Smash Brothers Melee
Waverace
Luigi's Mansion
Pario Party 4
Super Mario Sunshine
Star Fox Adventures
Metroid Prime
The Zelda Games
and a lot of others.
PLus the graphics are superb, and the controller is the best IMO.

I didnt use Halo as an example of a dominant game in my original post, because I already knew that somebody would say it's the only game XBOX has going for it, but that's simply not true. If you actually played the titles XBOX offer you would see they have some of the best game play out there. NFL Fever and Halo now dominate there respective genres, that's been established. But games like Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Project Gotham Racing, Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, Gun Valkyrie, House Of The Dead 3, NBA Inside Drive, Prisoner Of War, and alot more shouldnt be dismissed so easily. These XBOX exclusive games and those to come such as The Matrix are only few reasons why XBOX is by far the better system. The game titles that all of the consoles share such as Madden, Lord Of The RIngs, Spider-Man, and many more are by far better looking and much funner to play on the XBOX. The game library may not be the most impressive yet, but it's getting there and has bright future in deed.
XBOX, 2 Games, 1 Controller - $199
PS2, 0 Games, 1 Controller - $199

I enjoy PS2 much more than XBOX simply because of the controllers. I hate the ones for XBOX, and I am used to PS2 because they kept the same ones from PS1, I mean why mess with a good thing?
