This is probably one of if not the most talented bands out there. There music rocks, their members are hella cool.
My personal favorite song is CRASH of course.
What about you? DMB fan? If so, Fav. Song Album?

It's been hard for me to pick my favorite from Pearl Jam or Dave Matthews Band. They both occupy my top spot for right now. Crash is by far my fav DMB and is right up there as my all time favorite. I love Dave Matthews live stuff so either the Luther College live one with Tim Renyolds or Listener Supported is probably my two favorites though in my opinion they are all great which might knock pearl jam down to #2, because they have a couple weak cds out.

I've only heard one song (Satellite). I thought it was alright, it's actually growing on me more and more...Could you guys who are actual fans point me in the right direction in which songs you'd consider their best?

Up until the release of Everyday, I was seriously getting into DMB. Before These Crowded Streets is a jaw-dropping accomplishment. But they opted to water down their music with Everyday. Suddenly, they were generic and commercial. Had this been their first album, I wouldn't disrespect it as much as I do, but considering that BTCS was a brooding, tranquil, and complex masterpiece, how could I not be disappointed with Everyday? Arto, I recommend "Crush." It’s jazzy, bluesy, melodic, relaxing, and damn near perfect!

I also wasn't crazy about Everyday at first, but it really has grown on me. I love the Space Between Us. It's just different from their prior stuff. Just because its a bit more palatable for the masses doesn't make Dave Matthews any less of a band. It's not like they weren't pretty damn successful and well known before Everyday. I'm not saying that it is anywhere near their best. Of the studio albums I think I have to agree with you that Before these Crowded Streets is overall their best.

They're definitely not any less of a band. I just don't think that they're utilizing their talents like they could be. It almost seems as if they're trying to keep up with all of the pop icons that are dominating the charts right now. The competition wasn't this hectic up until 1998. Now they have to dilute their sound to sell as many records as they did in the '90s. Had it been released yesterday, "Ants Marching" probably wouldn't get that much radio play.

Let me start off by saying that Dave Matthews Band is my favorite band of all time. I own every single album they ever released and listen to them on a regular basis. I also own about 80 bootleg shows (because as some of you know DMB allows fans to tape their shows).
They are such a versitile band. They could do almost anything and they're music branches out into so many different genres. "Crush" for example is jazzy while "Grace Is Gone" is country. Songs like Bartender, Seek Up, and #41 are just simply beautiul epics. And another great thing about this band is the fact that in 11 years of touring they have never played the same setlist of songs twice. Even if they are touring to promote a new album, they always change the setlist every night.
And please people, if you want to see the real DMB don't listen to Everyday. They are not that kind of poppy band they some people think they are. As some people mentioned earlier, if you wanna hear a great album listen to Before These Crowded Streets. Their newest album Busted Stuff is great also. Songs like Bartender and You Never Know will amaze you to no belief imaginary.
They are without a doubt, the best band in music right now.
Albums from best to worst and top three favorite songs from each:
Before These Crowded Streets- The Last Stop, Pig, Don't Drink The Water
Busted Stuff- Bartender, Grey Street, Raven
Under The Table and Dreaming- Ants Marching, Warehouse, Best Of What's Around
Crash- #41, Too Much, Tripping Billies
Remember Two Things- Seek Up, Christmas Song, I'll Back You Up
Everyday- So Right, What You Are, Everyday
