I recently found this site while searching for movie wallpapaers and that's how i became a member. Anyways, i read both of JoBlo's reviews for Rushmore and Ghost World and both were rated 9/10. I personally give them both 10/10 and they are in my Top 10 of All-Time. But which do you find the better film? I personally just enjoy Rushmore a hair more than Ghost World.

Yes, definitely Rushmore. Ghost World is so overrated - what's the big deal with it? It's not a bad movie, but I don't know what everybody sees in it.

its hard to compare other movies to rushmore. i think that JAson shwartzmans dry humor and perfect timing makes it one of the funniest movies ever made. In my opinion ghost world shmost world

rushmore

both movies had mean spiritedness, but i felt the characters in rushmore were leagues more likable.

I'm going to have to go with consensus and say that Rushmore was better. There are three reasons, in my mind:

1. Rushmore is funnier, but also more touching
2. You really start to care about Max, while I always thought of Enid to be a whiny, inconsiderate shrew.
3. Rushmore has Bill Murray.

Rushmore: A-
Ghost World: C

I really liked Ghost World, and I doubt Rushmore will turn out to be much better.

I'll have to go against the majority and say Ghost World. GW was one of my favorite movies of 2001 for many reasons. Personally, I thought Rushmore was a piece of shit. Not funny, dramatic, interesting, likeable, nothing. I couldn't identify with Max Fisher, possibly cause Jason Schwartzmen played it too well. I identified immensly w/ Enid from GW, and was funny, dramatic, interesting, and likeable.
