Asimov's Foundation trilogy...Now Films??

I heard a rumor on a website that ASimov's Foundation trilogy is being adapted in to a film or films..
I have heard no real news on this, so I'm guessing it's only an unsubbstanciated rumor, but can anyone confirm this?

I sure as hell hope not. Foundation would make a horrible movie. If Hollywood wants to do Asimov, they should go with "Caves of Steel." There's a multi-speed urban moving sidewalk chase (if that made any sense at all) that could be an awesome action sequence.

Nothing against "Foundation," mind you. It's just very not Hollywood. At best it could be a talky stage play.
