Review:

Sleepless is absolutely a good slasher with class and style. I was very surprised with this film because most DTV movies suck. While watching this cool Giallo from Dario Argento I felt like if I was watching a slasher from the 80's, because is dark and is the type of film which you can only see the killers hands and feet.

Anyhow the deaths are great and bloody. The first death and chase scene in the train is scary and terrific. Also the third death in which the killer is chasing a woman on a night club and while chasing her he is meowing like a cat, is so freaking creepy! The killers murders are inspired by a nursery rhyme that has to do with animals.

There are going to be some twists about the killer, I must say that I was very surprised of who the killer is. This slasher is a must see.

Acting: Max Von Sydow and Stefano Dionisi who both play the main characters did an excellent job.

Gore: As I mentioned before the deaths are all gory for example some of the deaths are like this: stabbings in the mouth with a musical instrument, chopped head, stabbed in the neck and smashed face. ;D

T!ts and @ss:yeah we get to see a naked chick at the beginning of the film.

Afterall: This is a good slasher from director Dario Argento, I admire the work he did for this film. I'm sure that serious slasher buffs will like this movie. If you haven't seen this slasher yet you should definetely see it, is a must see for slasher fans!;)

a sort of comeback for Argento after the horror that was Phantom of The Opera. The first 30 minutes is better than anything in his last 5 flicks. That alone makes this one worth recomending. Not my favorite giallo from him(Tenebre) butstill very good. The bad acting mostly drags it down. It was also good seeing the guy who played Carlo in Deep Red working with him again. Love the box on the table scene.

I couldn't warm up to this flick. The script was convoluted, the characters were uninvolving, and the running time was a bit too ambitious. Granted, I saw a cut version, but even with all of the gore in tact, I doubt that I would have enjoyed it.

old dario seems to be a one trick pony here, using his standard giallo plot. unfortunatly, he no longer has the great style that make his films previous to OPERA rise above their poor writing. i miss the old argento 4/10

i loved this film. the final death scene was superbly done. and i loved the way the film was kinda still going while the credits rolled.
