Can any of you schmoes who have seen Kairo please explain to me how they did the scene where, in the background, a figure climbs up a tower that is part of a factory complex then throws himself/herself off and plummets to his/her death about 100 feet below...all in one take. It was definately a person who climbs onto the roof of the tower and there are no obvious edits. This scene really fucked with my head. I rewound it about ten times trying to see through the "smoke and mirrors" that the Director had employed to trick the audience. Any ideas. It's one of the subtlest and most audacious effects I have seen in a movie recently.
