He goes on a journey with only a sword and a shield, and still manages to kick large portions of ass. He's so much better than all those crappy Square RPG characters with their superultima magic or some shit like that.

Mario all the way man! He's such an inspiration. He shows that even short and pudgy people, Italian or otherwise, can do flips and shit and shows that we can beat the crap out of fire breathing dragons with red, flaming mullets with the best of 'em.
