Here are two articles about CoS promotions. The first is about Coca Cola's promotion. Remember last year the controversy over Harry's face on a tooth rotting product. The second is about top toy critics saying some of the CoS line will be top-sellers.

Coke To Help Unveil Harry Potter's "Secrets"

NEW YORK -- Coca-Cola will launch a consumer promotion tied to the Nov. 15 release of Warner Bros. "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" while also continuing its Reading is Fundamental (RIF) literacy efforts.

The "Catch the Golden Snitch and Win" promotion, to run Oct. 14-Nov. 22, will center around collectible game cards enclosed in multi-packs of Coca-Cola Classic and caffeine free Coca-Cola. Consumers who find the Golden Snitch (an integral part of Potter's favorite game Quidditch) card can win a trip to London as well as receive $5 movie certificates.

A 30-second TV spot, created by McCann-Erickson, New York, breaks Oct. 21. It shows a boy in a locker room after a soccer game opening a 12-pack and finding the Golden Snitch card. His surroundings then change into a Quidditch locker room replete with magic broomsticks, as a voiceover explains the promotion. A 60-second radio spot supports. Coke will also bring back an RIF-focused spot that aired last year, where owls drop books from the sky.

Coke's Minute Maid Co. will be offering similar prizes via Minute Maid single-serve juices and Minute Maid Coolers 10-pack cartons. Coke and RIF are continuing the "Classroom Library Collections" program, an $18 million initiative designed to bring 10,000 sets of books to classrooms in need, as well as the "StoryTravelers" armada of vehicles that will bring learning activities and free books to more than 500 locations.

Coke has vowed to spend $150 million during the course of the Potter partnership in as many as 40 markets globally.

Barbie and Harry Potter: Hot Couple for Holidays

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Parents: start your engines. Whether the economy is gloomy or booming, fickle kids still want the most popular toys, according to Toy Wishes magazine, which on Tuesday unveiled its list of toys it predicts will be the top sellers this holiday season.

The toys on "Hot Dozen" list, which were showcased by the magazine with an event at the International Toy Center in New York, aren't just popular, they are expected to be "the most impossible to find," the magazine said.

It could be even harder for parents to get their hands on this year's Cabbage Patch Kid or Tickle Me Elmo, as the West Coast port lockout drags on, delaying the shipment of toys into the U.S.

Despite the fact that the faltering economy has left wallets lighter, retailers struggling, and consumer confidence shaky, the holidays are a time when parents indulge their children, regardless of other factors.

"Birthdays and the holidays are the two key points in the year when you're not going to disappoint your child even if you've just had a pink slip or afraid one is coming," said Brean Murray toy analyst Margaret Whitfield.

The "Hot Dozen" toys:

-- FurReal Friends: A line of electronic plush cats, made by the Tiger Division of Hasbro Inc., that when stimulated by touch, duplicate and mimic mannerisms unique to a real cat.

-- Barbie As Rapunzel: Mattel Inc.'s Barbie with long, "growing" hair and a gown.

-- Barbie Wireless Video Camera

-- Bratz Salon 'N' Spa: The Bratz are a group of nine-inch fashion dolls made by MGA Entertainment. This item is a full-service beauty salon that includes "everything needed for a day of beauty," Toy Wishes said.

-- Chicken Dance Elmo -- Mattel unit Fisher-Price puts out another Elmo doll. In this one the Sesame Street character, dressed as a chicken, sings and dances.

-- KidClips Disney Tunes: Allows kids to listen to Disney music on compact player, made by Tiger.

-- Musini: Made by Neurosmith, allows children to make music by sensing vibrations to make a musical composition.

-- Lego Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets: A Lego set to depict scenes from the J.K. Rowling book and upcoming movie.

-- Harry Potter Slime Chamber Play Set: Kids load and dump slime out of a snake's jaw, made by Mattel.

-- Quantum Pad Learning System: LeapFrog's learning system for third to fifth graders uses games and activities to help kids learn school subjects like math and spelling.

-- Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading game Booster Pack Collectors Tin: Fans of this card game can pack their decks with booster packs made to increase the complexity and power during monster dueling matches.

-- Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4: The newest installment in the popular video game series based on professional skateboarder Tony Hawk, published by Activision Inc.
