View Full Version : Harry Potter 2 Sneak Preview Thursday!!!
I don't care about it but I just thought I'd let everyone know who does care. There's going to be a Sneak Preview of Harry Potter 2 tomorrow night on the WB during the series premiere of Family Affair. They did the same thing with the first Harry Potter.
Anyway, for you Harry Potter fans, enjoy...

I know, I can't wait. They did it last year with Reba, but they only showed a really crappy clip! This year we get the full preview, I'm taping it. Some clips from some TV spots are now available over at www.harrypotterirc.co.uk (http://www.harrypotterirc.co.uk) ....... Here's some (blurry) pics from the new trailer. EDIT: The pics are copywritten so they don't show up, here are think links:
Harry in Knockturn Alley (My favorite pic, very atmospheric) (http://www.harrypotterirc.co.uk/includes/showPicture.asp?image=../images/CoS/trailer02/knockturn.jpg&title=Knockturn%20Alley)
Snape at the dueling club, another cool pic (http://www.harrypotterirc.co.uk/includes/showPicture.asp?image=../images/CoS/trailer02/snape.jpg&title=Snape%20at%20duelling%20club)
Harry gets sucked into Tom Riddle's diary (http://www.harrypotterirc.co.uk/includes/showPicture.asp?image=../images/CoS/trailer02/book2.jpg&title=Harry%20goes%20into%20the%20Diary)
A more darker toned Quidditch scene (http://www.harrypotterirc.co.uk/includes/showPicture.asp?image=../images/CoS/trailer02/flint.jpg&title=Flint%20playing%20Quidditch)

P.S.- Did anyone else hear that Scholastic was supposed to announce the release date for Harry Potter 5 this week? Or was that just a rumor?!

Family Affair airs from 8:00 to 9:00 PM, that is Eastern Time(I am in Maryland). I am about to set my VCR, I'll watch it on T.V., but I want to see it over and over again afterwards. I wish the show was not Family Affair. It looks dreadful. It stars Tim Curry and he is a butler for a bunch of evil brats. It will be funny to some, but I am not a slapstick fan. It looks like an immature Farrelly Brother film, but who CARES! It is Harry Potter already and we'll get to see Quidditch, dueling, and the basilisk(sp?). I also hope we get to see live Mandrakes(I saw a cool photo of them). OUT. Mesa can't wait. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

I saw it. It was marvelous. The Pixies were great. I also loved Mandrakes. I am too excited right now.
I cannot wait until we have stills!

OMG! That kicked major ass! This looks to be a huge improvment on the first movie, the directing, the pase (can't tell much, but I'd say it'll be better, the effects, the acting. The effects, while not 100% improved, still look much, much better. Quidditch has improved, but where did those trenches in the field come from?! The womping willow efeects look like they're still being fine tuned, but it looks great! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone find the running time anywhere? It is now rated PG so there should be a running time somewhere, shouldn't there?!

The shot of the carriages crossing the frozen lake was amazing! I also thought Filch was funny, Lucius Malfoy was creepy. I dug the howler. The teeth were weird. Erroll was pretty damn funny. I taped it going to watch it now peace.
P.S. GO HAGRID! The crossbow was dope. That must be the scene before he gets SPOILER

That was one hell of a preview. This one looks better then the last HP.It seems more dark and interesting.Although I didn't tape, which I should have. The womping Willow looked a tad too fake for my liking, but it doesnt really matter.A great trailer, gives us more insight then the other one's.
Rating: B+

Has anyone else seen these great new spots on the WB network? There was a really great one I saw. It opened with the WB shield which turned it clouds as a voice says "Prepare To Be Driven". We see a shot of the Anglia flying over the hill and then we see the Hogwarts Express right behind the Ford and Ron and Harry screaming. Then we see a new a new shot of Harry and Draco racing and the same voice says "To the edge of adventure". Then we see the doors to the Slytherin common room being pushed open and we see Harry walking into some creepy men in Knockturn Alley and the voice says "Beyond Fear. We see the diary pages flipping open and the golden light arising from it. The light floods the library and then it sucks back into the diary and Harry is gone. We then see Harry on the statue of Salazar Slytherin and the basilisk is growling at him(note: the basilisk is very creepy). The voice says "Beyond the brink of imagination". Then it goes into a fast montage with a hand grabbing Harry, Hermione jumping for pixies, Marcus Flint, Slytherin captain, cathcing the Quaffle, and finally Harry raises the sword and it flashes "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets". It then flips to the aerial shot of changing stairs and the voice says "The Second year begins November 15th". It was really great. I will keep my eye out for more. I recomend you watch big WB shows like Everwood, Smallville, Gilmore Girls, Charmed, etc. to catch one. It is also supposedly airing also on CBS with C.S.I. and Survivor. :)
