There's a DVD of They Live which costs 45 euros (which is the same as 45 dollars) being sold on this finnish movie store. It includes the movie uncut, a making-of-documentary, trailers and biographies. Worth buying?

It's a UK site, but the region is the same and it'll ship to Finland free of charge.
Dont' believe me? here's proof (http://www.playserver3.com/play247.asp?page=delivery).

If you are interested. "Prince Of Darkness" is also available from the same site...same price and similar extras. I'll be snapping both up real soon. It's about time my Carpenter collection received a boost. So far i've only got "Halloween" and "The Thing". I neeeed "The Fog", "Big Trouble In Little China" and "Assault On Precinct 13". Oh...and when is a decent disc of "Escape From New York" gonna be made available?

I might get "Prince Of Darkness" too. I love it and the price isn't so bad. Thanks for the advice.

Hey DeadByDawn, if you're ordering the DVD's, email me before you do. Maybe we could do an order together because I'm not too eager to spend 45 euros on these two either...

No problem, but I ordered just Prince Of Darkness and decided to order They Live a little later. I'll inform you when, but you're going to order from Play.com too, aren't you?

NO WAY!!!
I'm a huge John Carpenter fan, but 'They Live' has to be one of my most hated flicks of all-time.....
Save your money!!!!!!!

Wait on ESCAPE. There's a new special edition coming out soon with the infamous bank heist opening sequence cut from the film. The majority of this footage was thought long lost, with only a few seconds showing up on New Line's "special edition" video that came out in the early 90's. Apparently, they just recovered it (I imagine fruiting at the bottom of Adrienne Barbeau's undie drawer); Carpenter has scored it, and it'll be on there along with a Russell / Carpenter commentary and other goodies. The DVD available now is bare-bones.
