AOL is letting you listen to the score for CoS! It is 70 minutes long and I am listening as I type. It is spectacular! Darker than the first. John Williams has outdone himself! You can link to this through The Leaky Cauldron at http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/

You need ReelOne Player to listen. It is so amazing. I plan to buy this soundtrack also. Enjoy! Live The Magic.......

I think the cover is rather plain. I do feel sorry for Daniel. His face will be wherever CD's and cassettes are sold bloodied and dirty. :(

I trust John Williams will deliver a great score, and I plan on buying it, especially if it's dark. The cover art, though, is like the poster: dull and unoriginal.

Here is a press release about the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets soundtrack....

The new Harry Potter CD will be available with 5 collectible covers...

Warner Sunset/Nonesuch/Atlantic Records is proud to present the ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS, the follow-up to last year's RIAA gold certified ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE.

Legendary film composer John Williams (Jaws, Star Wars, E.T.) received an Academy Award nomination for the first film's extraordinary score, and the new soundtrack sees him expanding upon the original themes to create even more powerful and evocative musical backgrounds. In addition, orchestrator/conductor William Ross will be adapting a number of Williams' themes for what is certain to be among the year's biggest motion picture releases.

ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS will be available with five collectible covers and arrives in stores November 12th. All editions will feature a Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets Poster.

I will pick up the Hermione one(Emma Watson is the coolest), but I have a gut feeling that the Dumbledore one will be worth the most in later times. I don't think may kids will want that one, though the crystal ball is awesome.

What does it mean by music adapted and conducted by William Ross?

Did Williams Only Compose This One and Not Take The Time To Do The Rest Of The Stuff?

I believe Williams wrote the music, but left to do the music for Catch Me If You Can(him and Speilberg are good friends). I do not mind. It will still be brilliant because Williams wrote it. I don't really care who was there actually working with the orchestra, as long as they are working on Williams music.
