Out of all The unproduced Freddy Vs. Jason Scripts that are floating around the web; which one (if any) Did you think was the best?
I have only read two of them. The Braga and Moore script and The one that was called Nightmare 13 : Freddy Meets Jason
I enjoyed reading the Braga and Moore Script; I thought it was an entertaining read. But I'm glad that it didn't get the greenlight.
I thought The Nightmare 13 script completely sucked. It was really campy. It was a total dark comedy.
The only thing I liked about it was the idea of a Fred Krueger cult. I thought it was a good idea (sort of like a manson family cult)
but I thought the way it was handled in the script was really lame.

I read one on Simplyscripts.com that was really good. It made Jason out to be the good guy and Freddy the bad guy. The story said that the reason Jason was killing was because Freddy had been haunting his dreams since he was a young boy.

I read that one and I thought it was terrible, bar the ending scene in the court, it was just boring and stupid. I didn't like the whole court crap and all that making Jason out to be a good guy, AUGH, and having him talk, also the friday the 13th movies where just movies in it AUGH.

I`ve read all the ones you guys have mentioned, like I said before I didn`t like any of them.
The one with the Freddy cult......come on......you mean there would be a bunch of people wearing the red-and-black striped sweater and fedora hat, with charred skin? Do you have any idea how stupid that would look if they really filmed that script?
The one where Jason`s going to court etc. had a few good ideas, but the script as a whole just wouldn`t make much of a movie.
There were two others I read as well.....one had Alice from "Nightmare" 4 and 5 as well as the couple from "JGTH". It was lame.

Elgyn, I liked the idea of a krueger cult, But I agree with you, about the way they looked was stupid and rediculous (freddy clones) I think if they made them more serious looking, maybe more like satanists dressed in robes and what not; it would of been better.
The script had a few good ideas and concepts, but executed them very poorly, The dialogue was corny and the whole script was a dark comedy, which is what I absoulotely hated about it. I think if the screenwriter who wrote it took it more seriously it probably would have been a better story.
The one were Jason goes to court was the one I mentioned in an earlie post. It's the one written by Bragga And Moore. Like I said before, I thought it was a fun and entertaining read, but I'm glad that it didn't get the greenlight. But I think if it was made as a stand alone movie like Wes Craven's New Nightmare, I think it would be a good film.
Has anyone read the Freddy vs. Jason script by Peter Briggs? (the one were it starts out in the 17th century) I started reading awhile ago, but never finished it. I was just wondering what you guys thought of it?

That's the one where Jason Goes To Court.
I agree with Crimson Ghost on this one, it would of made a better movie if they just took Jason out of it and replaced him with sone other psycho. It would probably of become more interesting, possibly make a good Nightmare On Elm Street movie. I started laughing when I thought to myself of Jason sitting in the court room with a suit and tie and a hocky mask (even though he didn't). So yeah, that one would be a good idea for a Nightmare movie, just take Jason out of it.

That`s basically what I thought about ALL of the scripts. Each one had at least a couple good scenes/ideas, but on the whole, none of them were particularly good.
About the Kruegar cult....if they were just regular-looking people, it would be fine.

I haven't read either of them. Could someone post a link to one (or both)?
I'm too lazy to seek them out.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who found this idea utterly ridiculous. Jason in court? Please. He's a fucking freak of nature: look at him in JGTH, do you honestly think they would present him to a court?
I'm sure the script has nuances and such that I missed because I haven't read it, but that ''court'' idea isolated from the rest of the script is absolutely terrible.

The Jason that is in that script is not the undead Jason that's in the rest of The Friday the 13th series. Its Jason Voorhees but its a human Jason that is a little disfigured and scarred. In other words he's a serial killer who is on trial for his murders.
It's really hard to explain, you would half to read the script to fully understand what I mean.

Cool. I was sure that something like this was the case, but the idea alone is a bit droll, as Slasherfan said.
