I've already posted this in the "Books" forum, but I'm not getting a response, and since this is about horror books, I was hopig the mods would find it in their hearts to leave it up untill my question gets awnseres. Thanks.

Ok, heres my question. I've just started reading the Buffy novels, and I've noticed that while some of the books seem to have an order, others don't. Being an order freak, I hate read books or do anything not in order, so I was hoping that one of the more avid Buffy readers could list the different series' and the order in which they should be read. The more detailed the better.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, there is no order to the books. One may be a season three story, another may be a season five story....it can change from book to book. Also, even if the story is from the fourth season beyond, they always include Angel. It's like the authors think readers are too stupid to accept that his character has moved on. Hello...he's got his own series of books now. Anyway, I hope that helps.

That's not exactly true. There are different series'. Theres the Angel Chronicles, the Willow Files, the Xander files, the Giles journals, the cordelia collection, the guide books and the two main series' the Young Adult Novels and the Graphic or adult series. Unfortunetely, I'm was unable to find the order for you. Different web sites list different publication dates and don't seem to have the complete list, nor do they seperate the different series'. I guese what you need is somone who knows the publication dates for the books and which series the novels fall into.

With all of these knowledgeable horror fans, there's got to be one person who can give me the info I need.

The "adult" Buffy novels are in this order:

Child Of The Hunt
Return To Chaos
Out Of The Madhouse
Ghost Roads
Sons Of Entropy
Obsidian Fate
Immortal
Sins Of The Father
Resurrecting Ravana
Prime Evil
The Evil That Men Do
Paleo
Pretty Maids All In A Row
Revenant
The Book Of Fours
The Burning
Door To Alternity
Long Way Home
Tempted Champions

Also, on the copyright page, there is usually a message called "Historian's note", telling you at what point during the TV show the story is supposed to take place.
