Yeah, I seen this one years ago. I thought it was great, definately on Wes Craven's list of better films.
IMDB:
"Plot Outline: Corporate exec Miles Creighton dies, and is cryogenically frozen in the hopes that he can be revived. 10 years later, the procedure is a success, and Miles returns--without his soul"
Chiller deals objectively with very heavy subjects. It's a science-messing-with-nature-with-terrifying-consequences-film.
It's not a bible-basher but it doesn't pussyfoot around either.
Michael Beck who plays the lead is a VERY intense actor; his description of his own death and experience of the afterlife is convincing, disturbing, and utterly, utterly CHILLING!
Recommended.

This is yet another in the long list of horror movies that I would like to see especially since I am a big CRAVEN fan. Unfortunately I have not seen this movie ANYWHERE! I have only heard it mentioned. At least I got to catch Shocker on television and I seen Deadly Friend at the video store and even THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT got a great dvd release recently. Chiller however has evaded me for years. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Chiller has some great suspense scenes in it; Craven went for this instead of bloodletting, as the film is dry. Good acting from Sorvino, Schoelen (The Stepfather), Straight (Poltergeist), and Micheal Beck as the son who comes back from being dead for 10 years and having to be revived due to a hospital error. The hospital scenes are reminiscent of a Cronenberg movie. Chiller is one of Craven’s better efforts. The DVD on the other hand has poor audio quality but you can’t expect a pristine effort since I found it in the Wal-Mart $5.88 bargain bin. Check it out if you can get a hold of the movie.

Bizarre. I was just asking about this film a couple of weeks ago on the boards, but got no major info on it. I also saw it for 5 bucks, but with no good info to back up a purchase, I opted for House by the Cemetary instead for the same price.
