KKFOS defines cheesy...but somehow, through the fact that you know you should find it lame and stupid, it draws you in...It's hilarious..It's funny how these things turn out

It's the funniest/funnest horror movie of the 80's, I love the DVD theres even two easter eggs! Like you guys said, if Return of the Living Dead can be treated well by MGMs Midnight Movies, we will be very happy people... (esppecialy since they discontinued producing the original, making it pretty hard to find)

"B. T. Barnum said it so long ago. There's one every minute don't you know. <Killer Klowns!>"
Great movie, great song, and bad nightmares.
Dude, you quoted the "Dickies" song "Killer Klowns From Outer Space"!! Cool!! I thought I was the only one who knew that song. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/cool.gif

Biker:"Are you gonna knock my block off?"
Klown:Shakes his head "yes"
Biker: "Then go ahead then"
-and he does, boy was that guy a idiot. When you see a fucked up looking clown riding a bike in an alley DON'T MESS WITH HIM. No matter how tuff you think you are. I mean it ain't selling cotton Candy
I love the scene where the fat clown shows up at the old people's door at gives the old lady a flower <and a special surprise behind his back> If you listen close the clown says "For You". How he says it is hysterical

This movie is one of the best. Look at my name. The DVD is at BestBuy for only $9.99. And it's a special edition DVD with a bunch of featurettes. You shouldn't have trouble finding this one.
BTW, people who hate KKFOS probably have their own fear of clowns in real life. So that's their problem to deal with...

Entertaining and easy enough to sit through, but this is a crap film. I HATE horror comedies, and cannot stress that enough. It really offends me when people say this is better than CLOWNHOUSE. I mean, everybody has the right to their own opinion, and if they say they prefer watching it to CLOWNHOUSE I'll understand, but it is NOT a BETTER film!
Anybody can make a movie with shit dialogue, shit acting, goofy characters, and then make up some extremely OTT deaths and pass it off as funny. The real balls go to the directors who actually try to scare you!
This is where I rest my case. Where is the director of KILLER KLOWNS now?!! VICTOR SALVA molseted a kid and he's still making films - he must have talent.

I haven't check this one out yet.
I do keep seeing it in stores for $8.99 or $9.99 though...figured it sucks because of the price but I'll give it a chance.
MGM Midnight Classics have not yet let me down!

Whether you like it or not, it's a cheap price for a DVD. Over here in Hawaii, it's $4.98 for a DVD rental (OUCH!), and I'm notorious for being overdue on my returns ever since I WORKED at a video store all those years ago...
So if the movie is $10.00, I'm gonna buy. If I LIKE it, I won't have to rent it, then decide later on to buy it and pay twice the price in the end. If I DON'T like it, it's not like it cost anything less than if I rented it.
And about the movie and what I think of it - I owned the VHS but gave it away after I replaced it with my DVD. It's a good nostalgia piece for me.

$8.99/9.99 is a cheap, good price for a DVD indeed, just buy it,dont rent, just pay around twice the amount of a rental (blockbuster rental) and you've got the DVD to own,not to keep for 7 days.Mine as well add it to your collection.I feel left out to see KKFOS marked this low around your city, but not mine.

You got that right! The DVD is absolutely amazing considering the low budget origins of the film, which are even lower than Evil Dead! Don't steal, but cheat and lie your way into getting this disc. This is a must have for any horror fan who loves his comedy and ketchup (even though this film has none). Word of advice: listen to the commentary by the Chiodo bros. This one isn't as good as The Man & Friends (AKA Bruce Campbell and crew on ED 2 commentary), but then again, what commentary is? Seriously though, this KKFOS commentary is a good listen, which you should hear if only for the little trivia bits.

I have fond memories of this flick.
At a very young age (cant exactly remember) i would constantly browse the horror section and tug on my moms sleeve to let me rent everything from Alien to When a Stranger Calls. I would almost always be letdown, however, Killer klowns from outer space caught my eyes one day. I didn't care much for clowns, but the PG rating was my ticket.
Luckily for me, the movie turned out awesome and became a childhood favorite and constant rental. I still don't own it, but i highly recommend it for its obvious and often acknowledged cheese factor. KKFOS is pure fun!
The scene with the clown luring the little girl outside is classic!

I love this movie. Great DVD. A Great Cult Classic. Awesome Theme Song by The Dickies too - "P.T. Barnum said it so long ago/There's one born every minute that you know/Some make us laugh/some make us cry/ these klowns are only gonna make you die/Everybody's running when the circus comes into the town/They'll be dead on arrival from the likes of the Killer Klowns from Outer Space." :D
I also have one of the Killer Klown figures from SOTA & I have The Dickies Killer Klowns From Outer Space Album.
What can I say, I have a soft spot for this movie.

I definitely need to get this on DVD soon. My original VHS copy is on it's last leg and this has to be one of the greatest horror/comedy flicks of all time.
It also has some of my favorite death scenes, *SEMI SPOILERS* the shadow puppets, the guy getting his "block knocked off", it's just a classic all-around blast of entertainment.
