Review:

The movie begins with young woman who is driving her car on a dark country road and singing along "Total Eclipse Of The Heart". She's running out of gas and so she pulls into a gas station then the Petrol Attendant{Brad Dourif} tries to warn her of something but since he couldn't talk well but she thinks that he wanted to rape her so she freaks out and sprays him pepper spray. So she gets out of the room and gets on her car and he tries to stop her but she runs away, so he screams "Someone is on the backseat!". But she didn't heard him, so she is crying and hearing the song that I mention in which the lyrics go something like this "Turn around everynow and then I get a little bit nervous..." and you the song is like warning her to turn around, so while the song is playing the hooded killer is turning up with a axe. So when she looks in the mirror swing ! There goes her head off!

That scene was pretty cool and very enjoyable. I consider this film original because I had never seen a movie with a psycho killer killing people on campus in which the deaths are based on urban legends before.
Urban Legends is surely one of the best slashers that camed after "Scream" and a lot of people judge it as a rip off of "Scream", but I don't agree on that because the only thing in common with both films is that it has people being stalked and killed by some killer.

The deaths are cool like the one of the girl murdered in cold blood overnight while roommate sleeps and when "Natalie"(roommate) wakes up she sees a sees a written on the wall saying "Aren't You Glad You Didn't Turn On The Light". Also the death of |"Dean Adams" the director of the college which I thought was the best death was very cool.

Spoilers
I was very surprised when I knew that the killer was"Brenda"(Rebbeca G@yheart) a female because most of the times they are male. I consider that the killer was very smart because none of her friends imagined that she was the killer. She id had a stupid reason to kill.

Bodycount:10
Scary Score: 1.5

Acting
Jared Leto(Paul) is a really good actor but I don't think he should be in this movie. Alicia Witt(Nat) well she was just a Neve Campbell wannabe. Rebbeca G@yheart(Brenda) was okay even though in most of the movie all she does is play a dumb@ss but at the point when we discover who she is she gets good and crazy.

Gore: I think this movie was based on a urban legend of movies having a lack of blood, but the gory deaths are of "the college director" and the death of the dog in the microwave.

T!ts and A$$: absolutely nothing at all!

Afterall: Indeed the movie is good has an interesting plot and deaths. If your a fan of "Scream" and "I know what you did last summer" and of slashers you will like this one a lot. So if you still haven't seen this go ahead and rent it but don't expect to much of it or you will be dissapointed. :p

Urban Legend is mildly entertaining and features some clever death sequences, but it feels tired. If the filmmakers weren't putting so much effort into mimicking the Scream formula, this would've been much more satisfying. Brad Dourif and Robert Englund are two of this film's very few saving graces.
