"*TLC*: Quick thing about the end of the movie. There's a very adorable scene where Hermione hugs Harry, but she doesn't hug Ron - what was behind that non-hug for you?

CC: Did you read book four?

*TLC*: Yeah, I did. [You've no idea.]

CC: So, it's a little bit of a taste of what's to happen, what's coming up.

TLC: So it is foreshadowing.

CC: It is foreshadowing, yeah. I just love the idea that the two of them, that there's an impending crush. And it's such a real thing for kids at that age. For instance, I asked Emma to hug Dan, and she said, 'No way,' and that was the day she was the most nervous being on the set. She was like, 'I am not going to hug him, no I'm not.' And I said, 'You've been petrified, this is one of your best friends, if not your best friend, you have to hug him,' I said, 'but you won't hug Ron, because that's where the tension is." Hmmmmmm.....


Emma may want to opt out of the movie before relationships begin :-)

I do not get the whole book four thing. Hermione and Harry don't say they love each other there. ???? Well anyways I a disagree Harry will get with Ginny and Ron with Hermione.

What I got from this is Hermione DOES get together with Ron. She can easily hug a good friend, but not someone she likes. Also in book four the tension is building between Hermione and Ron. In a recent interview on The Leaky Cauldron (BEST place for up-to-date info) Dan and Rupert agree that they think Hermione and Ron get together...much to Rupert's uneasiness
Emma had such a hard time giving Daniel a hug. Can you imagine if she has to be in a relationship in the movie. "That's not in my contract." :-)

I remember thinking that Ron and Hermione would get together eventually...but i don't like the idea. Harry is the hero...he deserves the chicks!

I like Ron, but he is just a goofball. He doesn't deserve Hermione.

It's been a year since I read the books (read em all in a week or so), so my opinion may change the next time I read them.

On a completely different note, when the hell is the Order of the Phoenix coming out? Screw the movies, I like the books!

All the publisher at Bloomsbury have said it will be out in 2003 for sure.

Of course Ron and Hermione will get together. That much is obvious...
