Recently, there was an auction on Ebay, which listed Uncut Versions of both The Hills Have Eyes and Last House On The Left. His description of the movies read something like ths: Don't eat before viewing or during viewing of these movies. Two of the most disturbing, sadistic movies ever made. From the master of horror Wes Craven, Last House on the Left and The Hills Have Eyes, presented in there uncut format.
The auction is over now but, I emailed him and he said that he has another set and is going to be putting them back up for auction. Are these movies really that disturbing or is he just fool of shit. Should I buy these, I think the last auction went for $40 bucks, but I'm not sure.

I have never seen Last house, but Hills is pretty sadistic. It's not bad enough to lose your lunch over, but it's definately brutal. Though Craven does a good job at making you think your seeing more gore than you really are (similar to Hooper's direction in TCM) Overall a an unflinching revenge story that is pure 70s low budget horror (and i mean that in a good way)

I'm dying to see Last House on the Left so that reason right there would be enough for me to pick it up. I saw The Hills Have Eyes and I found it enjoyable so thats also a bonus. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

First off, this is just my humble opinion so no-one get angry with me http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif The Hills Have Eyes is a pretty disturbing film due to it's brutality and as MotorizedInstinct stated, you think you see more than you do...however, when it comes down to it, it is a pretty blatant Texas Chainsaw rip-off....also, I may stand alone here but I'm one who really didn't enjoy Last House On The Left...I just felt that it wasn't very well made and although I prefer '70s low budget horror, this one just didn't scare me...some scenes are kinda disturbing but overall, I just didn't enjoy. Anyone seen the sequel??? I haven't....love Craven though http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

HILLS HAVE EYES is a good example of what happens when people have to be as savage as their tormenters. It is worth it.
But LAST HOUSE is iffy. I could easily eat during that. Do you want to watch David Hess force a girl to pee her pants? If you said yes, go ahead. I was severely diappointed with LAST HOUSE because Craven explored the themes in that movie better in HILLS.
I'd say go with HILLS.

I rented last house on the left and thought it to be pure crap, I thought, because of the title that it would be a spooky film but jeeeezus christ, this film was terrible. It was very violent and brutal, in a bad way. It looks like it was shot on toilet paper...dont recommend this one no way no how..

well last house on the left has its disturbing moments because of all the rape and torture stuff.but i thought "i spit on your grave" was even more brutal in those aspects
