And im pretty damn impressed with the death scenes...they are much better then the released version and the dialouge is better.The title of this draft was Friday The 13th Part VIII:Burial At Sea and their were some mess ups but no big deal,nothing more then spell errors...heres some of the stuff thats different-
in the beginning,theirs no narrating voice talking as their is in the released version (RV for short).It goes straight to the jim and suzy scene in which jim is more caring.A few different words as far as dialouge but basically the same thing,but instead,suzy gets it first,when they are making out,jason shoves the spear through her neck and into the head board of the bed...then jim tries fighting jason and hits him over the head with a lamp,only to be lifted in the air and thrown through the spiked bedpost by jason.then in the scene where seans dad,the admiral calls sean in to the deck to call the ship duties,its different also.Before he is called in,sean and miles discuss whats all in the boat and how cool its gonna be.
and next,Eva talks with her mom before going on the boat and tamara talks to her too...they then talk about guys and its back to normal until JJ Is playing guitar,instead of seeing jason walk down the steps we see a image of his hockey mask behind a door,she dies the same way.
Also,miles (played by gordon currie) has ALOT more dialouge and character,we learn he was a champion swimmer for the swim team for his school and theirs a part where miss van deusen is looking for rennie and she talks to miles as he gets out of a pool built in the boat.
In the scene where tamara shows her 'project' to mr.mccullogh,when she takes her robe off your supposed to see a image of jason through her porthole window and disappear.
And when the admiral and deckhand talk about kids and how they shouldnt ruin it before they both get sliced,in this,they are talking then it goes to a scene where rennie is shown to be scared of thunder and lightning and when it storms out she runs and sees sean and hugs him saying she wants to go home,and they make their way to the deckhand to ask the admiral if they can go back home,but when they go in THEN the deckhand and admiral are dead.
When the storm appears and sean calls for help on the PA stating the emergency and how theirs a killer,theirs a scene with eva and wayne how tamaras a bitch and they talk about jason and how they need to get out of there,but wayne must find JJ...so he leaves one way and eva goes the other.Eva goes to tamaras room and the bathroom door has tamara hooked on it with sharp pieces of mirror. (cool heh?)
When they see their going towards new york when their in the lifeboat,before that happens,rennie has another image of her and the water incident.and when the gangbangers that mug everyone and try raping rennie get killed,instead of the 2nd ones face going through the pipe,he gets his face smushed on a brick wall.
Then when mr.mcculogh dies by going head first in the sewage basket...rennie talks to sean about her parents and how they died and how she found out,and sean kisses her and they kiss when toby finds them again but jason brakes through crates and boxes and the chase is on again....when sean and rennie hop on the train jason walks on throwing someone out of his way when an engineer for the train gets smart with jason thus getting thrown out of the train and outside getting ran over by another train.and when they get off the train,instead of sean tackling jason onto the tracks getting electricuted,sean and rennie try running away and climbing a ladder that leads to a tunnel when jason grabs seans foot and rennie kicks jason in the face,thus jason falling on the tracks getting electricuted.
Then when they get into the cafe and the chef walks over to jason,jason throws him into a jukebox instead of the mirror.
Now in the sewers,the sanitation engineer gets tackled by jason but fights back,beating jason up with a wrench only to have the same thing done to him,this time the engineer is dead.then the rest along with everything else is as you seen in the released version.
so bottom line,i liked both versions but i would love to see what this script could have came out to be of...it has awesome potential and the thing that stands out is it gets to know the characters and the deaths are a tad more brutal...just wanted to inform and entertain yous all...
